  1. Hi guys

I have an e30 318i M10 motorwith a blown headgasket. I havn't got any quotes as of yet to have it fixed. But would like to know how much $ other people have paid in the past to have their cars fixed.

Just wanting a ballpark figure so i can decide whether or not it is worthwhile fixing.

    Cheers, Josh

  2. I have been going to the same shell station down the road from me since i got my licence. As soon as i pull in the pump is taken off pre-pay ready for me too fill.

Also another time i had forgotten my credit card, the guy told me to just come back sometime during the day and pay.

Also came out from paying one time and the forecourt attendant had washed all the windows on my car and had a cloth out wiping bird sh*t off the roof for me!

    Good service retains customers.

  3. In the states last year i met the rapper DMX (surprisingly friendly and chatty) while sitting at a table in Starbucks

Also had a 6 hour stopover in New York city with Nicholas Cage when our plane was delayed. Nice guy, wanted to catch up with my dad for a beer last time Dad was over in the States on business.

  4. Bit off topic. But we have had a few problems with those yards. Our 00 VR4 came back with a cracked windscreen and an empty tank which was full. And my mate thinks he saw a car load of guys in a black E55 Merc (of the sort that could not afford it) getting thrashed up the road. Which he thinks was my Dads one which was being stored around there.

Take note of your kms and tyre tread depth.

Would not surprise me one bit dude. There was a new 911 turbo in the yard a few weeks ago and that was being driven around quite often. Im sure the owner was unaware of that

  5. Ive never really had an issue in town, I thought people were generally good. But for the likes of Botany Rd/Ti Rakau Dr is another story. They have had a camera there for a while but people still run the reds.

I reckon that this intersection is the worst. On my way home from work a couple of weeks ago i counted 5 cars through the red.

And have seen countless accidents there where cars have been t-boned by what presumably was a red light runner.

  6. I work on Aintree avenue and that e30 touring is always parked outside.

I think I saw your e30 getting thrashed around the streets by some guy while you were away.

I'm only joking, but my desk looks out onto the yard for one of those car storage places.

The way they treat other peoples cars is appalling. Doing handbrakes into the driveway, reving up engines to the limiter pointlessly.

I hope no one on here works for one of those companies lol

  7. I used to go to school with the guy who owns the plate DRFT T. It does stand for drifty.

I like personalised plates (currently own 2) and have seen seen some funny ones round town. A mate of mine has just got the plate 'DATEME' on his 740i, gets alot of attention. But no dates as of yet lol

  8. I read the article ages back in NZ Mountain Bike Magazine. Its when Steve Peat and Hans Rey did a pub tour around Ireland on their bikes riding trails recommended to them by the locals.

That was one of the suggested trails...... :o
