i read the sticky thread above and on an e30 320i rear brakes there is a use only once bolt.. is it definitly not reuseable? and out of curiousity why is that? where can i get another bolt if i dont buy genuine bmw pads? thanks guys

yeah the difs locked so all good. ill just go for the back brakes out only, have no probs with using the handbrake

can anyone tell me in detail how to disconnect the rear brakes? i dont really want to remove them just disconnect so they dont work in conjunction with the front (or at all). like what people do to line lock but it isnt for that purpose. the handbrake still working would be nice but if thats not possible screw it, if i have to ill remove the whole caliper but would be nice if i didnt have too.. any help greatly appreciated and yes i know how stupid this is. thanks

oh nah its cool man ive sorted it! apprantly there some other bmw springs which i dont know what model but they do the trick. cheers though!

oh yup, i think that was when i was helpin my mate set his crap up in BW. lol if i had of known i would have asked haha. nah its not rubbing on the guards the back just has to much camber + a combination of not having enough tread, i stupidly didnt check the tread before i left. im sorry i didnt reply earlier i usualy reply once i get the email notification but my email was down (still is), the fuel tank situation had been handled but the one i have in there is quite scratched up like the old one.. hopefully it will suffice. cheers for the offering of the fuel tank though mate, i didnt mean to leave you hanging without a responce

I wouldnt know how stiff they are, i havnt used these springs without being compressed, and with different shocks. try find someone with aftermarket shocks and king springs to see how stiff the ride is. just wouldnt want to give you false info m8
