No Tyres

I have 4 steel rims from my e30 which i no longer need as i have bottlecaps, they are just sitting under my house doing nothing and i dont know what to do with them, so if anyone wants them pick up is from birkenhead north shore.Rims are in OK condition, and hubcaps are pretty good. Cheers

Hey, I found that the Clarion DB186-MP fitted in quite well with the interior of my e30(black without too many buttons), its backlight is the same orange color as that on the dash as well. Dont know how easy they are to get these days

I would spend up to $150 a pair, but i dont know if i can justify that with my current HU. Any audio gurus around?

Hey all I've just installed a new HU in my e30 (Clarion DB186MP, 4 x 20w RMS) and am going to replace the speakers next, I have no intentions of running external amps in the future and would just like some good 5.25" speakers that will make the most of my headunit. Any brands/model reccomendations most appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for your help guys, ill check the resistances, if the resistances are all around about 3.5 ohms is it safe to assume the speakers are all good?

Recently my stereo has been playing up heres whats up on my alpine stereo in my 85 E30 - No sound through RHS speakers - Above the stereo there is an external balance control - courtesy of BMW, if this is centered or to the right i get no sound at all, if it is to the left the left speakers will work. - I can smell something burning, the external ballance control heats up when the stereo is on. - When i disconnect the external balance i get sound out of the LHS speakers. So im guessing the headunit or the external control thing are screwed. I dont have a lot of money but would like to get my stereo working again, so... Would i be best to go into an car audio place? in which case, where is good? Im on the north shore or just buy a new head unit ? If anyone would like a pic of the external control thing to help give me advice i can take one. Cheers

Hi, i Just noticed some rust (about the size of a old 50 cent piece, but it goes right through) just below my rear RH indicator, on my 85 e30 coupe. Anybody else had this sorta problem, i was told it was quite common. Thanks DK

My 318 has been losing a bit of water for the past couple weeks, 200ml every 3 days. I got under the car today and traced it back to what i think may be the water pump seal. Is replacing the pump the best way to go? Looked up new water pumps for $129, any help would be appreciated, cheers

My e30 is my everyday car, i dont take it to the track or anything but still like it to perform/handle well, budget wise i would spend over $130 per tyre unless it was really worth it. The NCT 5's that i have on the front seem pretty good so i may go with them, thanks for the feedback so far guys keep it coming, cheers P.S. Not lowered, car is stock

My rear tyres are pretty had it, one had a puncture that cant be repaired so the spare is on and the other is pretty worn on the too, theyre 195 60 14 , just wondering if any of you guys had any makes/ model you reccomend as im keen to get some good tyres, not bothered in spending a little bit more if theyre worth it. I have a 1985 318i 2 door coupe need new rear tyres, instead of speding $180 or so on tyres i figured why not get a set of 2nd hand factory mags and tyres ( http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=87657709 ) which have been offered to me for $200, just wondering if theyll fit, how much it should cost to get them put on and if you guys reckon its worth it. Hey everyone My car got broken into today in Albany, drivers side front window was smashed nothing valuable in the car so thats a bit of a releif just wondering if anyone could reccomend a place to get it fixed or to get a new window from, im on the north shore but dont mind driving for a bit to get a better deal cheers
