Hi, am wanting to check the gear box oil level as it has been leaking on my E30. Do I need a 17mm allen key to open this? 10mm was the biggest I could find in Super Cheap. Cheers, Nick

Thanks everyone for your help. Lifted it up and had a look under it, but couldnt see the problem. It definintly is gear box oil though. Decided that when its dew for its next service, we'll ask the guy to have a look. Also, what kind of gear box oil will it take, its an e30 325i manual Thanks so much, Nick

Hi, has just started leaking. Im pretty sure that its from the gear box, but what could it be. Im thinking that it could be the gasket. Would really appreciate your help. Am gona have a look at it tommorow and try and fix it, so it would be great if I knew what to do. Thanks alot, Nick

thanx 4 that just one question, is sea90 diff oil the same as 75w90 which i read in another topic?

Scrolling through the old threads here and finally found what grade oil 4 my diff, but still can’t find the correct gearbox oil, can any1 shed some light on this? Thanks

hey was wondering if anyone knows which grade oils 2 use in the diff and garebox in the old e28s? lsd diff and manual, non dog leg box thanx guys

land rover disco 3 great 4 towing, dont notice the boat at all, except 4 on gravel roads, the abs dosnt allow much braking.apperently this is because over in europe the abs is set for ice?

Hi, in my 325 there is a little black button above the passenger window opener by the gear stick. It is unmarked but clicks in and out. Any idea what this does?

i agree that something needs to b dun.there is allways a few that spoil it 4 the rest of us, but these few r giving all us young people a bad name. the cracking down of 'high performance" cars may work but where will they draw the line of whats high performance?im not 2 sure what should be dun, but things need 2 change.

hi the speedo on my 325 only works when I am accelerating. When i take my foot off it just goes back down to 0. Any tips on how to fix this or what it might be. Jock recconed that the speedo connection on the diff is corroded through causing this? Thanks, Nick
