  1. Heh, ups and downs with my project but overall good progress. Not really worth mentioning though, compared to what you have going on here! I'll be doing the stroker this summer so if still interested in this by then, I'll let you know how it went on. Seems pretty straight forward though, from what that guy was saying. Anyway, good luck with your progress here and keep us updated!

  4. IIRC, the M54B30 uses iron cast liners (just like the M50B25), doesn't it? So IMO, I reckon it would be all right for both your questions regarding rings and expansion. As for the compression, you'll just have to wait and see and maybe use a thicker HG if needed.
  5. Thanks mate! So, if anything, the M54 pistons are equal or bigger in diameter (at least the top of the piston) than M50. Thanks again for the prompt reply with pics and sizes.
  6. Brilliant thread mate, really enjoyed reading it. I love what you've done with the car so far. Now, since you have both the M50 and M54 pistons at hand, just wondering, could you please measure the diameter of both? I can't say why but I am under the impression that M54B30 pistons are slightly smaller than M50B25 ones. That could be a bit of a problem, if there's some extra wear in the M50 block as well Will defo keep an eye on this mate! Good luck with the project!
