hi all got a 2000 e46 330i m-sport jap import fuel usage is 9.5 km/l. how does this work? whats the norm anyone else got the same car

Have been looking into getting a K&N Panel filter for my 320i (btw OMG i love how easy it is to get the filter outta the airbox, japs are a f-ing c**t to get the filter out of usually.) Is there any real gains to it besides never having to "replace" the filter again, and maybe some change in the sound of the intake?

I'd considered a Pod Filter too - but it just seems overly Ricey on a bimmer

get stock save ya doe i was thinking the same thing with my e46 330i m-sport but didnt like idea of my engine sucking oil off the filter.

Tyres dont need to be underinflated to get damage to the sidewall, see it fairly often.

so ive got them at 38 is this to much pressure? everyones got there own ideas but nothing to back it up (jack of all trades master of none)

Where abouts are you located?

We have Now started supplying new tyres in wellington, just opens up the choice of tyre, fitment and balancing in house

What pressure ar eyou running in them? If the pressure is not high enough the sidewalls can be prone to failure.

tire guy said 32psi my mechanic has put it up to 38 saying that the outer tread is wearing out,x tire shop guy is running his at 40 (not pontenza)

Yeah ive had two RE002's fail so far and my third wore out really unevenly even though nothing wrong with alignment etc. Tony's tyre service (tossers) didnt want to know even though i had insurance.

Since goodyear stopped the F1's ive had to resort to bridgestone and never ever been happy with them. This is the last time i'll be using bridgestone

tis is crazy talk so all that money i saved,the first time i eva got new tires,and thats it. i cant understand why big companies a doing this with no comeback.now i have to get some money together and put shitty second tires on my baby it just sux.

did you not buy the optional tyre insurance? i always do unless i plan to sell the car anyways

hi all, put some bridgestone potenza re002 on my bmw about 5mths ago just had a control arm done for WOF so i got wheel alinement and wheels rotated.the guy at tire shop noticed cracking on inner tread anyone got the same problem or any idea why this is happening.tires where $1200 and i really cant afford to replace them,maybe i should have gone with the nitto invo .thanks

cheap pads that don't fit correctly

other than that it needs to be checked over, it's all guessing at the moment

only making noise on one side,pads seem fine

brake clip is there its a rattle,sounds like maybe a heat shield but nothings loose. hope it not a ghost or a death rattle.

you think cutting compund will work as good as sand paper? i have to get some of that tomorrow to finish doing my E30 so would save an expence if i dont need it

no get the sand paper it will give you a cleaner finish.compound just means your polishing crap on the surface you need to remove it for a better finish.the better the start the better the finish aye,

Okay so both of my taillights on the boot are spidered out with age so i sourced some replacements, one second hand and the other brand new from the stealer (seriously... you dont want to know what i paid...). So now that i have them side by side the second hand one obviously looks slightly duller....

anyone know what I can do to make the plastic clearer again? wet sand prehaps? ill test anything i try on the older spidered ones first, but there must be some way i can even them up?

get 1500p wet sand paper,sand them back them polish them the same as you do on ya clear coat,using cutting compound,ave a look u tube.itll make then clear again dont no about spiders dow.
