Hi All, I have an ex-japan E39 540i that I love with 17"x 235 rims and tyres and it just doesn't look right. I want to go some 18's and staggered fitting. Can anyone recommend someone in Auckland (north shore even better!) who looks after forum members on this sort of thing? And any ballpark on costs would be good so I can hide it from the wife.... Hi Guys, I'm a newbie here and hope someone can offer some advice. Due to an expanding family my wife is now driving my e39 540i and I'm back driving her old e36 328i which used to be my car. However I've noticed that since getting back into it,it is sluggish and down on power from when I had it - almost like it can't breath properly (I'm not a techno). In fact you can barely chirp the tyre's when flooring it from a standing start and this used to be no problem at all (PS/It's an auto...) The vehicle has done 110k and is otherwise in good condition - any ideas of what may be causing it before I go to the mercy of the repair shop and get reamed.......... Thanks Gerry

Hi Guys - hope someone here can assist. I have an E39 540i that suddenly is starting to stall after it starts. It will run around 3-4 seconds then revs drop and it stalls. It may do this up to 3-4 times beofre it finally keeps running...this does not seem to happen often in the morning. can anyone offer some advice - is this a major issue...this cars is starting to cost alot in maintenance!!
