  1. EDIT:- It seems that the web programmers have prevented linking (probably due to some unfair play), if the above fails to work please copy and paste the below command line in FULL:- http://www.bhvftp.com/www/esr/list.php?list[action]=top10cars
  2. Cheers for your help guys, the 350z is slowly catching me back up though! You can vote again each day, so if you could keep hitting the votes in it'd be much appreciated! BTW - in answer to ones question, yeah my car was on the front of Performance BMW magazine (April 2007)! For more pics/scans of features etc CLICK HERE
  3. I found an interesting link to an online competition and decided to take part, now I'm hoping the BMW masses can help me to win! A computer game called 'European Street Racer' is being created (due for release later this year) and one 'lucky' person gets the chance to have their car entered into the game. Candidates were to submit their cars before a deadline and now the competition is open I need your vote! UPDATE:- It seems that the web programmers have prevented linking, if the above fails to work please copy and paste the below command line:- http://www.bhvftp.com/www/esr/list.php?list[action]=top10cars VOTE 10 POINTS VOTE 1 POINT If anyone could help to vote my car (red e36 coupe) 10 points (I'm a cheeky bastard I know) so that it can represent E36's in the gaming world please do so! If you fancy being unfair and voting down the opposition please don't let me stop you lol. Cheers, Chris P.S. Voting becomes available again each day so check, check again!
  4. Hiya mate! Do you have any independant BMW magazines over your way? Perhaps if you contact PBMW they might work something out? That most certainly is a bonnet bra, made by Colgan - customs sport bra I got the original photos from PBMW now, so better links for those that are interested... Cheers (CLICK TO ENLARGE - 1600x1067)
  5. Although I don't come on here all too often - been real busy with work/social; I thought I'd share with you a few scans from this months issue of 'Performance BMW Magazine'...I'm really happy with the shots and am trying to get my hands on the original copies of the photos! Click to enlarge... [iMAGES ARE BIG!!] Cheers, Chris
  6. What makes it so expensive? Is it that you can't source parts within NZ? The M50 inlet manifold is from a 325, it needs to be modded to fit, the conversion kit is available in the UK and the supplier would most definately send to NZ if necessary! The same applies for the Enlarged Throttle Body and even the Viper 2 chip! The M52 has more potential than most of the other lumps due to the heavy restrictions set upon it direct from BMW for taxation laws!
  7. Ah no way, an old local! Where abouts did you live? In newquay or just nearby? You'll be happy to know that Newquay has been ruined by a large influx of northern monkeys in the holiday season!
  8. You could be right, my assumptions are based upon plots taken from members of other forums running similar modifications. This graph was produced by an M52 running exactly the same setup as me but with the addition of some US 3.0 M3 cams. There are many running identical to me with the exception of the decat and pullys and they're seeing 240bhp @ fly. What are typical mods carried out in NZ on the M52? Do you have the facilities and parts available to derestrict them?
  9. New gaitors, black nappa leather with two-shades of blue stitching (Hartge colours)... Also note the rear electric window switches and relocated sunroof switch. New coloured Hartge centrecaps... JANUARY 2007 On go my new winter wheels, the weather in England is pretty bad this time of year... the salt on the roads would eat through my polished dishes in a week. So I got some Hartge single piece wheels for the winter! They are exactly the same style wheel as my split rims, but just 1-piece. And one arty to finish off with... Expect yet MORE pictures when I've got my new mirrors
  10. Some parts for the exterior rebuild...

  12. JANUARY 2006 The problem is that I get bored easily! The image in my head was not what I had built... so I went back to the drawing board. I sold the wheels. I sold the bumper. I sold the headlights. I sold the spoiler. I sold the tail lights. Pretty much back to standard...
  13. The realisation that in just 4/5 months of ownership I'd thrown silly amounts of money on the exterior of the car had set it, I decided it was time to spend money elsewhere... mostly - the engine! M50 inlet manifold conversion Enlarged throttle body conversion Viper 2 custom remap Supersprint decat Supersprint race exhaust system Supersprint race connection pipes Gruppe M induction kit Eurosport lightweight pulleys Fan delete kit Demeshed AFM (For more details see [this post) Add some Evo sideskirts and the exterior of the car is as good as finished.
  14. About 3 months after purchasing the car I decided rims were a must! I had my heart set on black 18"s but wasn't sure what set to get. Fate had its way and I managed to pick up a set of knackered old 18" momo arrows for a little over a ton. One decent refurb later and I was more than contempt! Coupled with the fatter M-tech rubbing strips, m-tech rear plate surround, smoked rear lights, carbon headlight eyebrows, facelift shadow kidney grills and bmw centre caps my car was starting to take shape... After a month or so my addiction of throwing money at my car got the better of me, I decided to colour code all the rub strips in keeping with the front bumper and also tint the windows in keeping with the red/black theme...
  15. First things first I got the rear arches seen to, removing any rust! While at it I also had them rolled, ready for the future! The front arches also had some work done, they had began to bubble where dirt had settled behind the sideskirt, this was sorted in an instance. My first purchases included an E46 M3 replica bumper, all-in-one angeleye headlights, carbon fibre UUC adjustable boot spoiler and boge lowering springs... These touches were the start of my black/red theme that was planned to continue throughout!
  16. JANUARY 2005: STANDARD My first car was crushed by a tree blown over in heavy winds. A week after coming to terms with the loss of a car that'd done me proud, cost me thousands to build and which was all ready for a feature I decided to get my a55 down to my local auctioneers. My original intention was to buy an E39, but upon looking around there was only one car truely worthy of some high bidding; a hell red 95 328i SE coupe. It looked gorgeous, all polished and gleaming it stood out from the crowd, even the step mother approved. The spec was good, full sports leather upgrade pack, electric rear window pack, climate control, 18 button OBC, electric sunroof, full closure alarm, sideskirts, M-tech spoiler, 16" alloys, clear front light pack etc. I bidded to £3350 before winning the car and was driving it home within an hour, even being stung £1400 for insurance couldn't remove the grin. The ride was crazily refined, powerful and smooth... like nothing I'd driven before. My first snaps...
  17. Curent performance mods carried out on my M52... from 193bhp to 250bhp. Enlarged throttle body conversion Demeshed AFM Viper 2 custom remap Fan delete kit (running Wetter Water) M50 inlet manifold conversion (Pic = old vs new) Gruppe M induction kit Supersprint race exhaust system Supersprint race connection pipes & Supersprint decat Eurosport lightweight pulleys NEXT:- US 3.0 M3 cams Any further suggestions are welcome, I'm hoping to get as much as I can from the M52 without ind. TB's or FI!

    lowering e36

If budget allows, why not get coilovers? That way you can adjust the ride height to suit your exact needs, with my car as standard, I had this drop...
  19. Pah! I have 205/40/17's on my 8.5's and 225/35/17's on my 9.5's... stretching your tyres will give you much more ability to get your car low on wide wheels, although it's an aquired taste and I'm not sure if the 'euro' style has taken residence over there!?
  20. Cheers guys! @ Spargo, where'd you see it before? Not really, should be putting out about 250bhp at the moment, the cost of a conversion for the sake of another 30-40bhp wouldn't make sense, especially when superchargers can be had for a bit more with the prospect of more output than an S52!
  21. Hi there, I found this forum through a local search engine so thought I'd sign up and have a gander at how you're doing things over the other side of the globe! Meanwhile, a bit about myself! I'm Chris (surname Yalden) and I reside in Saltash, Cornwall, England, UK. I'm on my second car now, albeit my first BMW; an E36 328i SE Coupe. I've owned the car for about 20 months and it's become a pretty important part of my life... if something goes wrong with it, it's more likely to put me on a downer than if I fell out with the missus. Thankfully, it's alot more reliable than any woman I've met lol. I'm not sure whether to whore a load of photos here, or whether they're best kept for the 'rides' section, so here's a spec list:- INTERIOR MODIFICATIONS Carbon fibre dial fascia Red dial rings Carbon fibre glovebox panel Black Nappa leather shifter/handbrake gaitors with two-tone Hartge blue stitching E38 coin holder Birds Hartge dealership rear window decal Storm Motorwerks Titanium plated billet stainless steel V1 shifter Storm Motorwerks Titanium plated billet stainless steel V1 handbrake Storm Motorwerks Billet Stainless Steel handbrake release button Storm Motorwerks Titanium plated billet stainless steel Cig.
