M30 is too thirsty,I prefer M20 eta.and M20 is way lot easier for repair.

Hi will need to tow car to muffler shop for welding new muffler(no muffler now)too loud on the road.shop just 10km away from home.

swap for a M20b27 engine?

525e long block,325i 885 head,brand new head bolt,brand new toper gasket set include head gasket.still in package.e30 sump pan.325i air flow meter,mototronic 1.1 loom and ECU.

want it gone .has another plan for E30.

Have purchased a whole lot of gaskets and seals for the engine but havent got round to pulling the motor to replace at the moment

Was removed from a running vehicle, ran well before moving

The E39 isn't that hungry - seriously! I know how he drives, and his economy isn't as much worse than our manual 525i as you might expect

Sadly, I don't know if I'll be using them. Looks like the person (no-one on here) I was getting the 320/6 from may have done the dirty on me - he's completely unresponsive and didn't show (or contact me) when he was supposed to be dropping the car in Picton yesterday. He has a deposit, and I'd paid for a one-way ferry ticket for the car.

I shall continue to press for some sort of explanation, but it's not looking good at the moment.

If it doesn't work out, I'll have some parts for an E21 if anyone needs them!
