Hi All As i have realized i wont be able to get the K&N filter i want. The next options are the Simota or AFE CAI. I can get them from Europe (schmiedmann) but was hoping someone might know of one for sale in NZ or even a second hand one for sale. Hi, thanks for that, i went home and did a double check last night, as everyone was saying that Jap imports are 2 into 1. i was surprised to see that my system had 2 pipes running all the way through, so looks like i might not need the change to the sytem. confusing all the time when cars are the "same" but can have different components depending on country release

looks like i have decided to go with the Simota CF610-6 (i was looking at the K&N, AFE and Simota). I most likley have to get it in from Europe as i cant find that model for sale in NZ, there is one on trademe but its a 04 model. if any of you know of someone that has one and wants to sell? does not need to be new either Thanks

Hi All Who do you belive is the best place to go to for work on my exhaust, as its a Jap import (i have a 2 to 1 exhaust). Thanks wayney for explanation :-). i need to have this looked at and see what my options are to improve, either replace header and full exhaust or just replace the single piping into 2? Not sure, need some advice Thanks L

Def happy with 330, wanted good power and so much better than 325 or 328

Hi I totally forgot to introduce myself when I signed up a month ago and have already made a few posts. Been from South Africa I have grown up around BM's and finally got my hands on my own. I got a E46 2001 330i (would have preferred the Coupe but could not find the right $$$ and KM combo) I am from Auckland and find myself one of the few South Africans not on the shore but a Westy :-) I have posted some pics below of my ride, these are still from the dealership listing as have yet to take any newer ones. Hi I have 330i 2001 E46 and it has standard steering wheel (see pic below), I am sure the steering wheel in the tradme listing is from the newer years, What i would like to know, is it a easy swap to change this? but what avout the nultifunctions that the new steering wheel has? and has anyone done this? as assistance would be great Tradme listing http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=522341464

that looks like a replacement for the panel filter, not sure it will give the sound you get from the intake system. thanks for the details

Not expecting any performance increase from the filter (no matter what there specs say), looking to add a nicer sound to the car and i was thinking of going with pod and maybe muffler change

just gave Repco a call, no stock in NZ or AUS, would take 6-8 weeks and cost $700. No thanks, i would rather just build my own pod system for far less

Tell me about it, seems almost double the price I want to pay, saw the k&n in aus eBay for almost 100 less, but still need to see if I can find a shop here. Almost normal understanding would tell me that stage 2 would be a step up from stage 1 air filter, on this site it's seems to be the other way round? Strange

I gave them a call yesterday and they did not see the model on the system, they said I could call between Monday and Friday to request a order for the part, so still need to see if they can get it

Looking for a K&N 57-1001 Air Filter for my E46 330i. Anyone hve one for sale or know where i can get one? Its a specific pod filter for the 2001 330i, will look at other options if you have a set for this car Thanks

Would love the M3 mostly high in KM's and price is high, remembr got min for 11k with waranty drive away, and only 60kms so not sure if its worth the jump yet, maybe hold onto mne for a couple and tradein?

Now we cant all have a M3 like you christian :-)

might sound like a stupid question but is it possible to put this sort of exhaust system onto a 330i? Dual exhaust? I thought it would be possible but obvioulsy having to change the bumper on the car to ensure it looks correct

Well there is pretty much two options (as i see), Motorsport or none i would have preferred it to be motosport but could not find the KMs and $$$ to line up
