  1. You're right. It's the oil pressure switch. I ordered a new one plus the oil filter housing gasket. Do them both at the same time and minimize the pain. Many thanks Rick
  2. Hi Allan, It's on the left side. I just discovered that its not conical. The connector itself is a single pin. Part of whatever it plugs into broke away and was still attached to the connector. That's what is round. 2000 528i M52 motor. You can see the piece still attached. Any idea where it came from? Cheers
  3. Whilst working on my throttle body I noticed that a connector was hanging from the bottom of the wiring box just forward of the throttle body. It was tucked up towards the front of the motor and has an unusual end. Rather than a molded oblong with pins there is a conical, slightly bell shaped end with a small metal disk inside. I'd send a picture but my uploads are failing. The connector wiring is about 6 inches long. Thanks for any ideas.
  4. Hello all, I'm living in Bucks county, Pennsylvania not far from Philadelphia. We have a 2000 528I that we bought in 2004. I'm a bit of a car nut and do much of the car work myself. Sometimes it's fun and it's always nice to save money! The car is starting to require more serious repairs now so I hope we can share our experiences.
