  1. Someone was telling me a divorcee has WASHIS on a bimmer

Read or saw this one somewhere -> 3M TA3

Heheh I've seen that WASHIS around a few times.. lady driving but no way to be sure it's actually for real or just for fun.

The 3M TA3 one I think can't be used because it's deemed to be distracting to other drivers.. bit of an urban legend surrounding that plate in every country where you can get them personalised...

  2. I'm still using a 5yr old Sony CMD J6, but it's cool as hell. I've lost it twice and had to look around for a replacement phone but both times I was really disappointed in the phones available these days - sure they've got all these nifty features but very few are actually anything more than average at actually being PHONES...

Nokia has the E70 coming out soon that has built-in VoIP over WLAN and only 17mm thick.. and if you don't care about a camera you can get the E60 instead which is a lot thinner.

I've toyed with the idea of getting a 7280 for going out, they seem handy... but I text more than I ring when I'm out and txting is a real c*nt on that phone.. you can get them on Ebay for <$US200.

For full PDA functionality without the size, the Qtek 8310 / O2 XDA Orion / I-mate SP5 (all the same phone) is awesome.. WLAN as well.

Anyone thinking about the RAZR should look at the Samsung Z510 instead, or the Benq-Siemens EF81 which are both way more capable than the RAZR.

This site is the shiz-nizzle for scoping phones...

  3. Aside from the local network issues, the main thing that will stop me ever buying a Telecom phone is that the SIM is built into the phone - what a pile of sh*t! Even if the phones were fantastic, the fact that I can't go to Europe & chuck in a French SIM card for instance is an immediate fail grade.

I got my current phone in France almost four years ago now. I've used it with French, Swiss, UK & NZ SIMs all while keeping my entire (100% phone-stored) address book. I'm looking at replacing it soon but I'm waiting for phones with WiFi and, more importantly, Skype- (and VoIP in general-) compatible.

  4. 98 will still be available at every BP that has it normally. 95 will be there where 98 isn't and nowhere will have 96 anymore.

In Germany and most of the rest of Europe they have 95 as the standard and 98 as the other choice. Never seen 91 in France the whole time I lived there.

I've got no better fuel economy from my last two tanks of 98 than I did from 96 so for the 7c/L price premium I ain't gonna bother... will have to suck it in & swallow the 95...

  5. How will 95 affect my vehicle?

Most cars that currently use premium unleaded 96 will run just as well on premium unleaded 95. A few will show an increased tendency to ‘knock’ or ‘pink’. These are likely to be mainly pre-1990 European or Australian cars.
