:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: Your E34 535i will be putting out far more HP than 211hp if it is fitted with a Hartge engine. And will most certainly handle alot better than the older models. The side and rear apron spoilers appear to be M-Tech items... Is this a Motorsport model? Manual 5speed? Sure looks very nice indeed.

Just thought someone here might wanna know about this: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...on-13534599.htm Worth a look. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I'm keen to find a rear apron for en E34. I'd even consider modifying some other apron or modyfying some form of fibreglass spoiler/part to suit. Of course I don't want to spend moon money doing this. I'm also looking for a new rear muffler (twin-inlet/outlet). Mine has a hole in it and frankly needs replacing. I don't want to make it louder, in fact I wanna make it quieter, but stilll with a nice low rumble sound. Any idea's?

Priorities..... Sting before Bling ((But I definately want to upgrade the poxy rear speakers, without butchering the car))

Yep, it's a Motorsport. THis is what attracted me to it in the first place. Although I'm not that knowledgable on BMW's, I have learned that the differenced usually found between the regular 535i and the 535i Motorsports are that 1) the Motorsport (M-Tech) have black engineswhich produce between 20-50hp more than the 535i (questionable), heavyduty semi-racing suspension and cosmetic differences.... usually in front airdam, sideskirt and rear apron area. At a guess I'd say that BMW's Motorsport models are to BMW what Clubsports are to the Commodore, and SVO is to the Falcon etc... BMW needed a set number of cars produced in order to fit into a particular racing catagory, so it commissioned a racing specialist company to upgrade their cars. I believe that there were only 12010 E34 Motorsports built all up. The M5? I believe, even though still a Motorsport, is a different bag of lollies altogether. I want one

The Green-Machine in one of the above photo's (which is not mine) is a Holden/Isuzu Gemini coupe... highly modified inside and out. Full steel custom bodywork, 2L DOHC worked Piazza with custom built T04 Turbo, custom built BIG intercooler, BOV, full turbo boost control system, 3inch exhaust all the way, full linx racing computer + tuner. Big modified HQ brakes, 5speed, LSD, Custom petrol tank with surge tank, big fuel pumps, roll-cage and racing harness etc etc. This car is a rocket !!! Raced at Taupo only once. Only car to beat it was a full race RX3 (non-roadlegal) race car running on slicks.... while the Gremini was on the tyres you see (not so sticky). The Gremini had the RX on the straights without a doubt, but lost out on the corners due to trackion. Made it fun to watch though. Oh, BTW... the Gremini is for sale !!! $6k (sold at loss to build new project). I'm selling it on behalf of the owner... a good mechanic friend of mine. However, it does need attention to tuning. After blowing the original 2nd hand T04 (due to wear) the owner had it rebuilt to his specs, but simply hasn't had the time to reconfigure the linx computer/fuel/air/idle/curve etc settings to their ideal state of tuning.... this is a long trail and error proceedure, esecially if you want this car to be tame enough for street use.

Andrew & DNZ: Thanks. I have to admit to being kinda proud of this machine. I've had to sort out some niggly bits like replacing the center drive-shaft hanger-bearing, and replacing the mid-exhaust joiner gaskets, and have yet to replace the brake-light switch (cos I often get the *brake light warning* from the cars computer, even though the brake lights work fine everytime) as I found out, when this sticks whilst the cruise control is in opperation, I can't dissengage the damn thing. Not good when you've set it to 80mph!!! But one thing at a time. WAGON: Yep, I'm in Napier. I've only seen two 320 wagons around these ways...one (red) was yesterday driving past the municipal theatre while I was getting a pair of new exhaust gaskets thrown on. Some nice BMW's around here, some with nice wheels etc. Now I own one, I notice them far more. SL

So, this is my new 535i Motorsport. Right now it has a mild bodykit, 8x17-235/40/17 Pirelli P6000 Front, 9x17-255/40/17 Pirelli P6000 Rear, Fully legal dark window tinting, Average sound system & original speakers, Full tan & black leather, Two-way electric sunroof, Rebuilt auto (with Manual/Economy/Sport modes) Lots of nolothene bushes Original BMW alarm + additional emobilizer alarm Plans: Convert from auto to 5speed Getrag or possibly 6speed Supra Fit E.A.T. Performance chip New custom made exhaust (Better breather but not loud...I hate loud...stainless maybe...depends on $$) Possible 3 inch lowered springs front 2 inch rear Tepending on potential city usability...speed humps gutter ramps etc) Fit nicer sound system with amp and sub (only for better listening pleasure, not comp, nor downtown window-rattling) But, right now I am out of money... so she will have to suffice for now... I'm sure I can live with it SL

And one more for good measure

Thanx. I'm happy with the car. Although I'm now replcing the damn center-hanger-bearing (on the drive shaft) coz it's making that dreaded ticking noise. And, I find that the two front 235/40/17's Pirelli P600's are split even though the car got a VTNS WOF the day before I bought it. Chching!!! I'm right on VTNZ's case though. They make us poor b'stards adhere to the letter of the law... so it's only fair that they have to also. Anyways.... as I said, I will be taking some better photo's of the car over the next week or so...where should I post them on here? Do you have a photo gallery? SL PS: Here is a dash pic

I've not had a lot of time to get good photo's, but thought I'd take a coupel down at the local petrol station (a place that I'm glad to have learned that I will not need to visit as often as I had invisaged) I will take some better photo's soon. SL
