Mauritiusblau metallic my bro. Convertibles are the only e30's with it as standard
-
Thanks, yeah in the shade it's nearly black and in the sun its nearly a light blue. I like Cheers man, resprayed the engine covers but you can use an engine degreaser and a scrubbing brush depending on how bad it is.

Tidied up engine bay: Heckspoiler in daylight this time:

Chris whats your budget
-
Understandable. My mate has a 1.8 in his e21 and is in the same boat as you - too slow so wants something with more power. He ended up buying an engine on here, a rebuilt m20b27 stroker with gearbox for $3k I think. Had quite a lot of work done to it too. You should go with an m50 conversion I reckon. Not very expensive.

Could sell it for near the same amount as buying a 325i e30?
-
Wow, my old profile from 4 years ago.. Forgot I even had it lol
-
No interior photos so its probably rough, but would make a good project car if you can get it for 2k or under.
-
Just spend 10k, youll be the man
-
As per title. Box of coronas as payment. Thanks

Cable ties and angle grinders*
-
Haha yeah I agree. Having a lip that low is eventually going to break/unclip if i decided to rely on just the clips which arent even that strong. I think cable ties were the best option, it doesnt look hory at all either, kinda suits it. Lol I did take this into consideration but it actually does look pretty decent with cable ties, and stronger than clips too. Its going to take a beating so I think it was the best option.

Did some front lip modification. Decided to mount my new IS lip onto my original lip. I think in total I used about 25 cable ties. Looks tough. And low. Two of the original clips had snapped on one side so it wasnt holding right. This is the best I could get it but its held in tight and aint coming off.

That handbrake surround looks the kitties titties

My thoughts exactly^ You should do one up yourself, it may cost more but at least you know exactly whats going on with it. And its more fun.

No probs. I had the same thing sort of. I was originally going to adjust my valves 'cause they were ticking like most e30's do, but then decided to get a new camshaft, valve springs, rocker eccentrics (maybe you should do that too), headgasket set and cambelt. Saves doing it later while you've got it all in pieces.
-
New valves, new valve springs, camshaft, may aswell do head gaskets too
