OK, having opened this on a computer, I can now see what everyone is talking about. I created the post on Tapatalk and on my phone it is all nicely spaced and bullet pointed :/ Until I get it fixed, can anyone posting please just comment on the car and not the formatting? Otherwise it doesn't really get a fair shot at being sold. I wouldn't fill up the first page of anyone else's ad with comments about formatting, and I'm asking now for the same courtesy.

Hi all, I've decided to sell my BMW as it doesn't get enough use. The basics: TLDR: Repowered PFL E30 Coupe, cheap, well-equipped option to get into motorsport and lots of flexibility for future mods. *Mileage - It's done unknown kms as it seems to have had more than one cluster. The body is very straight and rust free though and the engine was transplanted from a E36 @ 110000km and since then it's done very little driving. *Engine - M50TUB25 (single vanos). Pod air filter, custom headers (with 2.5 inch exhaust redone 6 months ago by Pitstop in Dunedin). Megasquirt and remote coilpack (6 months old professionally installed). 40km since oil/filter/coolant service. M3 alloy radiator and aftermarket oil cooler. *Gearbox - Getrag 260 5-speed, Redline MTF put in 2 months ago. *Diff - 4.1 ratio Z4 open diff. *Tyres - Brand new Pirelli P Zero Neros 205x40x17 (front) and Bridgestones (rear, warrantable but need to be replaced). *Wheels - 17x7.5 Oz Superturismos, superficial curbing. 20mm spacers on the front and 25mm on the back (all certified) to clear the brakes. *Brakes - RX7 dual piston calipers on the front (certified) with Corrado dimpled and slotted rotors. Rear brakes standard E30 discs. *Roll cage - Homolagated and comes with log book. *Interior - Stripped with bucket seats. Momo Corse leather steering wheel. Electronic oil pressure gauge. Push button starter and kill switch installed. Fire extinguisher mounted in back. No rear seats, bodywork has been upholstered over. *Body - Prefacelift coupe. No dents, couple of very small chips. M Technic 2 front and rear wing. E36 M3 side skirts. Carbon fibre hood. All painted Holden HSV Red 2 years ago. *Rewire - Car was rewired and tuned at CNC Automotive, finished in June 2014. Megasquirt ECU was installed for flexibility for future mods. Can be hooked up to a PC and tuned in real time so this is a great feature for anyone who would further modify this vehicle. *Suspension - Koni Sport (yellow) adjustable shocks installed front and rear with lowering springs. Front and rear strut braces and larger front and rear anti roll bars. *Spares - Car would be sold with two spare sets of wheels 18x7.5 with road tyres and 17x7.5 with semi slicks. Lots of other spares will go with the car. All the necessary certs are done, rego and WOF expired December 2014 but will be renewed for sale. Any questions post them here. Filter is about 2cm proud. Filter holder had that metal adaptor in the bottom, the steel seems to match that of the top cap

And does anyone have any ideas for what I can do with the factory filter that now has just a couple of smears of oil on it? Doesn't come with the O-rings or washers

Thanks for that, I just tried but had to stop because the cap wouldn't fit. So I think that's not the correct filter. Is anyone able to help with what the filter in the photo is?

I already bought a filter for a E36 M50B25 but it's different, a bit wider and has metal ends. Does anyone know what filter I SHOULD be running?

Does anyone recognide this filter? Came out of M50B25 with oil cooler. Can't makeout the lettering...

Hi all, I'm doing my first oil change on my E30. Can someone who's done the M50B25 swap advise me on which oil filter to use? Is it the E36 M50B25 or the E39 M50B25? And is it a different filter if you have a Vanos equipped engine? The Ryco book here at SCA isn't that helpful. Cheers

And the springs the previous owner put in are too short for use with that shock?

Great, thanks for the advice, I thought that the cage would have offset the removal of interior, I'll look into it though. And I'm going to have to practice my heel toe! One more thing, Koni Yellows are what I have in my Golf and I've read that the shock is the right length to use standard springs or go up to 35mm lower but not more. When I got my E30 the rear springs weren't captive so I got spring spacers put in, could these spacers be screwing up the spring rate?

Tyres are bridgestone potenza g3s 205x40 17 only about 2 mm tread left, don't know the age, they came on the rims second hand. I don't know what the pressure is in them, will check next time I get petrol. Rims are 7 in wide. The shocks are Koni Sports E30 shocks, the springs - I dont know, previous owner put them in so I don't know lowering. Corner weights won't be far off standard, has a half cage, interior removed, m50tub25 in the front, cf bonnet. I'll check what the alignment sheet says for camber and toe. Compression will be standard for that engine

Diff is open and ratio is 4.1. Thinking back I think it did the same in the wet on the old tyres that were new and wider (but a cheap Chinese make). I'll fill the tank and see what difference that makes. Otherwise I might be in the market for new coils if anyone has any...

Also the tyres aren't in great nick but they did get through a warrant so they're not bald as such.

It's not my driving style, the guy who was working on it struck the same problem. It does it really easily, think pickup truck on bald tyres and you'll get an idea what it's like. Doesn't help that the tacho is dead but I would be very surprised if I was getting anywhere near the redline.

I've got the full set of side strips but no way of attaching them to the vehicle. I think the strip connects to some sort of clip/bracket which then attaches to the body of the car. I can PM you a photo
