Has anyone seen where you can buy yellow headlight bulbs? I checked the LTSA website and it is legal to have white or amber lights on the front of your car so I'm looking at putting yellow bulbs into the main lights of my E30. This is purely cosmetic, I realise that the whiter the bulb the better but yellow headlamps look really cool on old cars in my opinion. I'm not keen to put a film over the main lights as this apparently is illegal, would look cool though. I've looked at the Supercheap website and given Repco a call and they don't seem to have anything. Also did a Google search but no joy. Anyone got any ideas or know of websites that specialise in bulbs?

I walked. Wouldn't have dreamed of taking either of the cars out the way it was this morning!

The VR6 is mine, the Mk2 is a coincidence. No snow day for me, I took the early photo as I was leaving haha.

Greetings all, I'm after a few bit and bobs for my preF/L E30 Coupe. In no particular order: 1. Radiator temp sensor may be E30 or E36 (I'll check later on what the part number is as mine has a lots of E36 parts including the radiator itself). 2. Boot lock and a key to go with it. 3. Carpet, preferably black but I'm interested to see what's out there. 4. Kick panel under steering wheel If I remember the other things I'll post them up. Cheers, Dave

Offset? I might be keen but don't have the cash right now. If they're still around in a couple of weeks you'll probably hear from me.

Thanks everyone. Still coming to terms with RWD and no traction aids, it's a bit like learning to drive again but it'll be worth it! I'll flick you a text tomorrow about the BBQ. -

Hi fellow Bimmer enthusiasts, I recently bought a 1984 BMW 323i with a 2.5L Vanos conversion. Attached is a picture I took today after giving her a wash. This car has been being raced competitively up North since its conversion so has a lot of interesting mods (some of which I'm going to put back to stock) but at the moment I'm just stoked to have got an E30 Coupe in such a nice red and the 2.5 is great! I also have a 1994 VW Golf VR6 and I'm a member of VASK and the Otago VW Enthusiasts Club, the VR6 will remain my daily driver as it has 5 seats and 4 doors and a boot that locks and it doesn't leak and it's headlights work and it can get onto parking building ramps (just). So things will slowly happen with the BMW as I can afford it. First thing is the exhaust, it has 2.5 inch piping and custom headers and is really loud but the main issue is the middle muffler is so low it touches the road if there is any curvature, and it's scraping the hell out of my driveway. Looking under the car it looks like it can't get any higher, diff in the way? Might have to go smaller muffler and smaller piping so it doesn't get any louder? Next thing is the sunroof was removed to put the roll cage in and a carbon fibre panel has been fitted to fill the gap. The problem is when I drove it down from Wellington to Dunedin it leaked the entire way and the interior got a bit swampy. I'm planning to remove it and get a tinted safety glass panel in its place. Maybe get a system where it can pop up in the same way as the rear windows in the coupes. Does anyone know of somewhere in Dunedin or Christchurch that does that sort of work? I found this and the Pop Top 100 is the sort of thing I want: http://www.rve.co.nz/sunroofs.html I'm also in the market for new wheels, the 18s that are on it aren't really my taste. I have a spare set of wheels so the 18s will be on Trademe for $1 reserve as soon as I find out the offset. The race seats which are pretty much brand new will be going on Trademe too since I'll be trying to get some nice Recaros for it. If there's any E30 owners in Dunedin who want first dibs on these bits let me know. Also for sale will be the angel eyes that are on it now. I want to put OEM lights on and do some yellow tinting. So if anyone made it to the end of this post, thanks and hello again! Cheers, Dave (Timewarrior)

I've got some 18s with tyres that I'm looking to sell/trade maybe with money your way. I'll add a photo after work.
