Did some quick googling apparently no power gain bit the car will sound better also apparently the k&n filter kne2021 will be a direct swap for the e92 and will fit in the original air box so won't suck hot air in. Sounds like good news and actually quite cheap on eBay! But quite worried about the maf sensor issue and am getting mixed opinion from other forums. hm... yea probably won't do anything to the f20 because of the warranty but the e92 has been around since 2008 so thought could do something to it ... not worth selling because it's pretty much worth nothing now comparing how much I paid for it back then..

oh right! thanks did not know that some air filter are oiled! so basically a pod filter will be useless because it sucks in hot air so it will kill the torque

yea i thought of that as well, was thinking of the 120i but the edition 30 package basically adds all the internal stuff and 17" rims... so opted for comfort, thought I could always do up the looks later

I bought the 1 series in March this year at North Shore City Jerry Clayton BMW. just the standard edition 30, thats why looking to do something with it! thinking of putting a kit on and maybe exhaust and intake. I was searching for someone that can custom make kit before on another post in the "appearance" section. But probably will put that on hold until my two year warranty is over.

where can i get one for US$400 in nz? just asked BMW new market today... $1178 and will approximately cost $400 to mould and fit from the guy in Hami... apparently paint will cost around $600....

thanks for that! yea I have been looking into other methods, got in contact with a company in Hamilton, they said if I can get the bumper itself then they can make it fit... No idea how much a 1m bumper cost, will try finding out at BMW.

Thanks bro! that worked! So yea, back to the story, this is the custom made front bumper i saw in a European forum! I have seen someone in America that makes this but to import that would cost approximately $1600 before paint and fitting. Worth it??

Looked through heaps of websites, the ones I found are in America.... item itself only USD$795 but shipping is a horrendous USD$595.... so that's not happening... any advice??
