Hey there I need a tranz for my M50 e34 525 91 jap import current is a zf 5hp 18 5 spd auto but i would consider changing to a 4spd auto if can get one compatible with the M50 and wiring loom, plug is 14 pin round cluster or if able to get loom plug and may-be alter. If no luck car will be sold as complete car with mint motor, pro lowered and very tidy inside and out. any help would be appreciated, cheers Mike. :puke:

After owning V8 holden and fords for 20 years then chaging to BMW's i'm sold iv'e had e36 3series to start then 2 730 e32's then my fave a e34 95 535 which I stupidly swapped for a V8 Calais HSV kitted holden that i gave to the missus and now have a jap import 525 which the tranz has sh*t it self but still love the german quality and next purchase will be a 540 or 740 cause cubes are every thing as long as it has 8 pots, keep on spinning, Mike

Hey there has any one got a 91 jap import 525 trans ZF 5HP 18 5 speed auto to go behind an M50 2.5 with a round screw on electrictronics plug with 14 pins all reasonably spaced in an even pattern, or doe's any one know what could cause my tranz to work fine in reverse and only creep forward indrive and graually go through the gears to reach a top speed of around 70 ks on the flat.

Hey there, Is that a jap import M50 twin cam and if so is the trans aZF 5hp 18 5spd auto, I would pay 300 plus freight just for the trans,look forward to your reply. cheers Mike

Hey there can any one tell me how to check the trans fluid on a ZF 5HP 18 from my M50 91 525 as it is slipping in forward gears and only gets up to around 70ks yet reverse still engages perfectly.
