  1. O yeah had a look a theres a couple sets there that I like the look of. So ill definately popout in the next couple weeks for a chat about how much its going to cost me lol. Cheers for all the help to man.
  2. O true that would be wicked, where abouts do you work man so I can come have a look? I finally got the base of the d2 out with the help of a mechanic, a crowbar and a mean hammer lol. So when I finally put those bastards in they will be staying in lol.
  3. Hey man, I just got adjusties from NZKW in the city for my e39 and I no he can order in adjusties for e36's aswell and he has really good prices I paid 1400 for mine. But heres the link for their site http://www.nzkw.com/suspension/ and Ive seen them somewhere but cant remember where, but you can get an adjustable spring setup for the back of them aswell. I dont really no how they work at all. You could always give the guy at NZKW a call and see if he can order them in.
  4. The offset is 35 so yeah got the wrong offset. And im starting to get so frustrated the base of my adjustie wont come back out its like someone has welded it is. Ive lubed it up and it wont budge at all havent noticed one bit of movement towards coming back out!!!
  5. Im on the shore man. But this whole spacer thing sounds like such a c**t lol. Um ive got multi stud rims. But I no when I got my mags the center had 1mm machined out of it to fit my hubs. So im guessing I just have the wrong offset a which kinda sucks, but owell my mags have curb marks from the nice people at the gearbox shop and little bends where my tires blew out so I think ill use it as an excuse and just get new mags and then get my adjusties put in after that. So im just going to rip them back out tomorrow and put my old struts back in. But when im doing my struts tomorrow ill have a look on the mags for the offset. And I dont no the make or model of the rims sorry man. I think someone said they were player rims or something and some point but I dont really no a. Cheers Joel
  6. The inside of the mag like where the tire meets the mag is rubbing on the actual spring of the coilover. Where abouts on the mag can I find the offset? they are 20x8.5 with 225/35 tires. But yeah I was going to buy those bolt on spacers where you bolt them to your hub and then they have more studs on them for the mags to bolt to. So these will give me a vibration? Cheers Joel
  7. Another problem to add to my cars list of cr#p! I finally got my d2 adjustable suspension for my E39 520i and put the fronts in and when I rolled it out the garage to feel how it felt I heard a grinding noise and noticed that the inside of the mags were sitting on the coilovers. So I spoke to mag and Turbo today who recon I have 3 series offset rims on my car. So to add to my expensise im going to have to buy spacers. I found a guy out south who sells 22mm spacers which im going to go get on wednesday. Now heres my question will I get this problem in the arse end of the car if I have encountered it in the front or do you think I might be able to get away with out them? As I dont really want to buy two and have to go back and get them for the back or buy four and not need them for the back!!

  9. Yeah seeing as I only have 4 out of the 9 coils my superlows started off with when I got them put in lol. But yeah ill definately post up pics of it. Im going to drop it off now to get 5% tints put on it
  10. Yeah I ordered some d2's today from another place for 1400 which im pretty happy with, so they should be here in about 2 weeks. Should ride mint compared to my choppies and stuffed shocks lol
  11. Yeah sorry thats what I ment. How do you find having them in the car and also how low would you recon the car would sit on the ground with them wound fairly far down?
  12. Hey there, im wanting to buy adjustables for my E39 bmw and was wondering if anybody knows where I can buy them from. As the guy I was ment to be buying d2's off is saying that his supplier is having trouble getting them.

  14. Yeah cheers for that. Dads going into see them for me today. Is it normal that i can reverse sweet as but non of the drive gears work?
  15. I drove the car home yesterday and the gearbox shat itself at the end of the western motorway. So im taking it into the people who rebuilt it and have a talk to them cause alot of people think that it has to do with the fluid levels in the box!!!
  16. Hmmm I just couldnt see how it would be the box as it got fully rebuilt 4 weeks ago, but ill ring up the place where it is at the moment and ask them to check the fluid levels then. Cheers for that
  17. Yea sorry i wrote that in a hurry before work and wasnt very discriptive. Yeah its really low on power. Just seems like its going no where when you put your foot down, and yes it does vibrate but im pretty sure it only does it when if i hold it at a certain rev while its slipping. Yeah it seems like a manual car would when the clutch slips except its an auto and it sometimes was thumping into the next gear. I just thought it might be the diff cause when it vibrates it feels like its coming from the arse end. And yeah people suggested that it mite be something to do with the universal joints or something like that because my cars about 2-3 inches lower in the back than the front and the backs really bouncy because the spring arent captive, would this cause the problem?   18. Hey got my gearbox rebulit about 2000kz ago and for about the last 500kz what i think is my diff has been slipping over about 3500rpm. But this morning, when i was driving to work i could hardly get up a hill and while i was trying the cog with the explination mark came up as did the ABS and traction control lights.
  19. O yeah I no when mag and turbo fitted my lowering springs, it took them 4 hours to put my springs in. So i think it might be worth the 200 bucks again to pay someone to fit them lol. Um im hoping to have the rear of the sills about 2 inches off the ground and then the front I want about 1cm of my 20's to tuck, but I will have to see what turning is like with it that low 1st. But yeah I want it pretty low.
  20. Hey, Im planning on buying d2 adjustable coilovers for my e39 520i in a couple of weeks and was wondering if anybody on this site has them in there e39? Or just any coilovers. Cause i was wondering how low you can sit the car with them in. As that is the reason im getting them to put my car on its arse, because ive got B'n'G superlows with 2 coils cut off the backs and the tires are still only just in the guards. Any help would be apprectiated. Cheers
  21. Yea i was thinking rb30det, ive got a few mates who are trying to talk me into putting a 20b in it. Im just gona get visual things duno 1st as i just blew the box up in it, so its in getting that rebuilt atm. Thank god for mechanical insurance. But i think an m3 motor and box would be a bit out of my wallets range lol
  22. I was planning on building the motor myself and paying to get the mounts and wiring done by someone. And i would rather go down the turbo root than a 540i as its more my thing and i would prefer to do something different. But ill just keep looking into more options then
  23. Hey there. I have an e39 520i and was wanting to put something turbo in it and a manual box. My mates have been telling me to put an rb30det in it and a skyline box. But i figured this would be a fair amount of work. So i was wondering if i could put a e36 328i engine in it with a manual box and turbo that? As there are a few turbo kits for the e36 engines floating around the place. Would this conversion be alot easier to do by keeping everything bmw?
