Hi All, My wifes E36 318is A/C Fan blows bugger all air through the cockpit, even when on maximum. A mate of mine also has the same problem on his E36. Someone once said to me it was a filter behind the dash? Is this true or is it something else? We're moving to CHCH in January, so obviously going to want it for the summer, but more important the winter when i freeze my balls off i want the heater to work very well! Any ideas?

Thats for that information. unfortunately this morning it played up to the point i couldn't drive it, so it is now in with Ernst being looked at. Whats the repair cost on the master cylinder? so i have some idea before he rings me and dont fall over from shock!

hey all, Every now and then when i first get in to the car, and depress the clutch, it goes straight to the floor, and slowly comes back up as if the hydraulic pressure is building behind it. is this normal?? its a E30 318i, manual conversion done by Ernst and Rob at Bavarian. The reservoir fluid is fine, and the clutch is firm and positive once the pressure is up.

Yeah the E34 ones are electrical (i had a e34 525IASE Motorsport). and yeah you can definately see the difference in them. these ones are annoying me though, cause i keep having to screw them in and out manually. and its not so easy to do when its dark!

nah they dont make any noise. it doesn't look like there is any fluid in the pipes... what the hell sorta fluid does it take though???!! my 3 previous E30's had them working... but not this one....

Hi All, the tilt motors on my headlights haven't worked since i got the car. is this common? i have had to manually adjust the headlights. any ideas on how to get it going?

its not any different to E36 Owners putting M3 kits on they're cars. at the end of the day there is a real market out there for people wanting Mtech II Kits. not everyone has the luxury of owning a Motorsport, but they can make their's look just as good. i do agree with you that there is a heap of Beemers (not just E30's) out there with Motorsport kits on them, but at the end of it all, you can still tell a real motorsport apart from an replica. and then there is the pleasure of knowing you can leave any of them for dead! :bowdown:

yeah MP grease works well as well (use it on aircraft when pinstriping) but the problem is because the surface has to be warm the grease/petrol jelly melts and gets into the paint while you're spraying. but if its cold it works well!!

thanks guys, i'll use all your tips and will take photo's once it's done. i remember ernst used to sell them for a small price + the swap of your old one. but i'd rather do it myself. as for red..... hmmm not too sure on that! i thought about blue pearl mica once... but i think i'll stick with the good ol' black

Hi All, does anyone know where i can get a cold air box for a FL 318i? or if there is someone on here that has made one i'm willing to pay for them to make another one. Cheers,

my car is doing the same thing, FL 318i. i've checked for vaccum leaks and didn't find any. mine is doing bascially the same thing. start it up, it runs beautfiully. next time you start it up while its warm, it won't idle. Tomo: let me know how you get on and where you go to get them looked at.

That 320 has the engine from Johnny Reids French Touring 320i in it. And yes it is the gearbox, a more interesting fact is that the gears must be replaced after every 2nd race due to wear. i have a DVD at home on BMW race cars (starts from the early 3.0 CSL Le mans car till now) and this exact video is on it. it also has another one of the car at another Dutch track, and he is hitting upwards of 320-330km/ph. another one is Hans Muller's Works M3GTR round the nurburgring, racing a GT1 Porsche. its a sight to see, especially when the GTR gets sideways.' Check it out its called Bavarian Speed: BMW Race Cars 1972 - 2006 its all in German but is subtitled.

cheers mate, what do i need to look for or chek with AFM? and will check for vac leaks, no you mention it i can hear air escaping somewhere....
