  1. Hey everyone... I miss the friendly waves from everyone, now nobody sees me in my big jacked 4X4 now :( So I am going to put my plates on it, lol! I wasn't going to, I was going to buy new plates to match my other business plate. But I feel so lonely out on the road now, I'm no longer part of that BMW fraternity, give way to other BMW's, friendly waves, queue jumping etc. So I have decided to chuck my europlates belonging to my past M325i on my chunky Ford 4X4, so keep an eye out for me :) I want to queue jump again, lol! I promise I didn't sell up the BMW because I wanted to, more of a case of I needed to (can't afford two cars, let alone a bloody diesel registration, damn those acc levies). MSBOND lives on... one day it will be back where it should be... on a BMW :)

  2. i think i remember this car from when i was like 13 and lived in botany you lived by sacremento right? ,was drooling back then!! GLWS

Previous owner lived at Sacromento, I just lived down from there for a while as well, before moving up the hill.

I have owned this car for over 8 years now :(

  3. Here ya'll.

As we speak my 87 M325i is down at the car valet getting a $250 full groom.

And then it will be parked in my workshop until sold.

And because we need the workshop space I have to let it go asap.

    So....

I am putting it up on TM $6500 NO RESERVE!!! $8K Buy Now.

This car just needs a little TLC and it would be worth so much more, I am just gutted I don't have the time to do it myself.

    This car is MINT.

    The TLC it needs is:

Rust spots on paint surface (sun roof and a little bit on driver side rear tail light corner)

Front bumper has stone chips - would love to re-spray it.

Electrical gremlin - Need to find earth for stereo and dash as they are intermittent on using the indicator and windscreen wipers.

Little things I have taken off need putting back on, such as cover under steering wheel (my high heels kept getting stuck on it) and the internal handle surround.

    The engine is MINT.

    The exhaust is MINT.

The bilstein shocks have been reconditioned... MINT.

Will be getting updated pics this weekend and should be on TM by Monday.

Also going to get video up on you tube to help the sale.

    I LOVE THIS CAR.

So sad to see it sold but my love for horses has taken priority.

    Will post link asap.

  4. Hahaha I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

Only thing is BMW gave it back to my friend after the tow bar was fitted and forgot to tell her there was a converter plug in the boot.

So we drove to the show with no lights on the float as the float had an oblong connector and the BMW has the round connector. While we were at the show BMW call to say there was one in the boot. So we at least had lights for the journey home.

We were also told its 1800kg unbraked and 3000kg braked ?? Is this bullshit? Dangerous if they told us wrong.

This X3 is a 2.0 Diesel, and seriously I dont know why you would want more power than this thing already has!! What would you do with more power?

    Such a cool car!!

  5. Finally got a tow bar from Germany on my mates new X3, She isn't confident to tow so guess who gets to drive it :P OOOOHHHH YYEEAAAH!

Towing 2 horses in a float (approx 1800kg)

Our first journey was from Botany to Beachlands. I barely had to put my foot on the gas. The X3 is so powerful!

We passed (without putting my foot on the gas) a Patrol towing 2 horses on the steep passing lane before Beachlands!! I couldn't stop laughing (the woman in the patrol had the last laugh though when she won the competition and I came a close second).

Also I forgot to put the brakes back on after reversing out of our carpark for the trip home, I didn't even notice until we got home and I got out to take the brake off, naughty me, but aparently it can tow unbraked up to 1800kg any way. It is just so smooth.

I am in love with the X3.

So comfy, great after a hard workout competing. Very impressed!!

I want one for myself now!

Thought I would report back in :)

On a side note, I am still clutching onto my 87 M325i... But I am still getting heavy pressure to sell.

  6. Good time to reminisce the 2004 megameet eh?

    Hahahaha great times!!

    Thanks guys.

Ive been fairly quiet on here lately huh.

To be honest Dan I have been run off my feet with work and I apologise for not answering my phone, that day I left it at home, I'm becoming very forgetful.

Also just to let everyone know I will be keeping my bimmer for a little while yet I guess. The business looks like it may buy me a new 4x4.

M325i is running sweet but it needs some TLC on the paint/rust side of things, so may as well tidy that up before selling...... when I find some time.

I have to answer all these calls first....

    Hope to catch up soon.

  7. For example:

Glenn buys a widget for $112.50 before 30 Sept so the net cost is $100.00. He gets to claim $12.50 as a purchase (Input) on his GST return.

He then sells it before 30 Sept for a 100% markup. That makes the sale price $200.00 plus GST ie $225.00 under the 12.5% rate. He puts the $25.00 as a sale (Output) in his GST return.

His profit is $100.00. He pays $12.50 to the IRD in his GST return ($25.00 minus $12.50). That difference of $12.50 is actually what his customer paid him so he is merely passing that on to the IRD. OK, that's what happens now.

If he sold the widget after 1 Oct then it would be sold for $100.00 (what it cost) + $100.00 (his markup) plus GST of $30.00 (at 15%) i.e the sale price is $230.00. The customer pays the additional GST, not Glenn. Glenn's real job is that of a tax collector as he simply passes the net GST content (the $30.00) onto Uncle John and Uncle Bill who will then pass it back (plus a bit more) as tax cuts.

You missed out the final workings:

He would have claimed the $12.50 in GST in September's GST return from buying the widget.

In the November GST return he would give $30 in GST from the sale of the widget.

Can you finish this for us... who wins and who looses?

  8. Hi predicament sucks. But its like my grandad, he never wanted to talk about my car, he hated BMW, always told me I should sell it. He would never buy anything german. There are still and were heaps of soldiers who think/thought the same till their death, but they just dont talk about their feelings. So its not surprising BMWs were attacked at a RSA. Its just sad that people acted on their thoughts.

  9. But I guess we will be seeing RRP's go up so actually there is no problem, you will just profit 2.5%.

Lucky you for stocking up. It's like me stocking up on prepaid envelopes as they will still be excepted after 30th Oct but will cost me 2.5% less :)

  10. If I sell something for $5.00 + Gst on the 30th Gst will be 12.5% if I sell it on the 1st it will be $5.00 + 15% Gst even if I bought it incurring 12.5% Gst So I make an extra 2.5% on the Gst at the consumers cost

I'm guessing you are on invoice basis like I am Glenn, they are on Payment basis. And they most likely sell stock at RRP. They wont want to up the price on their items otherwise they will be more then RRP and not very competitive. Retail advertise including GST and no + GST. So unless they go above RRP they will be paying the extra 2.5%
