its quite nice to think that for $20k,ish you can buy a car that was once worth just under $170k with under 70000 ks on the clock. id hate to be the person on the other side of that tho.

im trying to find out what prices older model bmws sold for when they were new, i have a 98 540 (auto) and im trying to find what the new zealand new price was if you bought it from bmw in 98 or 99. if anyone could post me a link to a web site or a $$$$number would be greatly appreciated cheers stuart

cars working again, car had corroded connections on main computer i think which had been bumped while alarm was being installed and had stopped the car from starting, problem was found quickly, fixed quickly and i think cheaply as well, chch bmw did the work and im quite impressed.

my car is already in at bmw so hopefully they will tell me whats wrong i f not i got a couple of things to try out

i tried to start my car and the engine just turns over and over but wont fire also a warning message come up on my dash display "TRANS. FAILSAFE PROG. a security system has been put in and the problem accured while this was being done but fixed its self. has any body else exprienced this? i have a 98 540i. it was quite painful to watch my car that i had bought less than two weeks ago get carried away to christchurch bmw on the back of a tow truck.

just got myself a bmw, been looking for over a year now and finally found what i was looking for. ended up with a 98 540i with a m5 bodykit and 18" bmw wheels. also im in christchurch and can anyone recommend a good mechanic that is aa aproved? (for my warranty) stuart
