Heya guys was just searching on the net some d.i.y windscreen replacement topics but havnt had any luck does anyone know if removing and replacing the front windscreen of a e30 is easy-ish? I remember helping my uncle remove and replace the rear windscreen of an old toyota corona theres a strip the goes around the window, im guessing you just pull it out then push the window out from the inside? and im also guessing its glued in somehow? how would i go about removing one out of another bmw, then removing my damaged windscreen and fitting the new one, WITHOUT damaging the new one while taking it out of another car Any step by steps or tips would be appreciated cheers

Car failed on -horn n/w head light bulb out numberplate lights need replacing crack in windscreen rack end boot split will suss all out asap, car will be sold with a new wof cheers ]

had a look under dizzy cap, everything algd took the plugs out again and gave them a hardout clean, and tested each and every individual one till they were sparking beutifully. put plugs back in, then ht leads, started first pop cheers all, hadnt driven for 3daysish so maybe they the plugs fouled themselfs? gonna heap to repco first thing tomorrow and buy some new plugs anyway might aswell do oil + filter change while im at it

sounds about right, i did clean the plugs up using fine grit sandpaper its just annoying cos its so frustrating, ive been up to repco like 3times today wont even start with "start ya bastard" engine spray lol not that i believed in that stuff to begin with though. GAHHHHHH Anyone know what plugs are specified for my car? cause im pretty sure that the ones that are in there are suited for all bmws, not specificallyfor mine the plugs arnt that old either although they did look badly fould up when i removed them

yup, i checked fuel at fuel rail and its good, just forgot to mention it. pressurised aswel. and yes can hear fuel pump when i turn key to ignition. oil light goes off after a few cranks... where is crank angle sensor located? i assume its in the engine? maybe a wire is loose or something? where would i find wire for crank angle sensor at engine? cheers

Hey all Just went to start the bmw up yesturday midday to take it in for a wof car would turn over, but not ignite so automatically i checked the following things - spark plugs - took out, cleaned up, put back in - checked all vacuum lines for leaks - checked all spark plug leads - checked lead on coilpack - checked afm plug Then during all this the battery went quite flat from turning it over so many times (battery is less than 3months old and is usually mint) so, recharged the battery overnight on a battery charger woke up this morning, gave it another go still no good its turning over on the key very well (as battery is fully charged) and is almost igniting its doing everything fine, just not igniting the fuel but when i had spark plugs out i checked for spark and there was good spark funny thing is I bought the car off a guy who "couldn't get it started" and then I had a fiddle with it, couldn't get it going, then one day i tried it and it started and ran fine, and has run fine up untill today. now its just doing the same thing I was thinking, loose ignition cable somewhere? But have had a look and everything seems like its in place, except a single thin brown wire thats just hanging under the steering rack but i cant see where its meant to go. I had a mean search on the net of "bmw wont start" etc etc, alot of the time in other peoples cases it turned out to be ECU related I cleaned the contacts on ecu plug and pins of ecu, didn't make a difference Any ideas anyone? any help would be appreciated ive got the laptop in the garage so ill keep checking back to this thread. alot of the mods you've done will barely increase your final selling price I'd say anywhere between 4-5K seems like your car has all the same sh*t as mine minus the evo brakes and i'd be happy if i got 4k ish did you used to have a red mtech2 e30? if so that was gangs

semi update supercharger = nothing more yet, still gathering funds and getting bracket fabricated new to project = wheels momo gt-r's nice little touch to the black theme (black leather, paint, wheels)

as stated radiator reserve filler tank could also be interested in some hoses + radiator _ thermostart, if in good condition and cheap. cheers 0210666306

Hey all Just wondering where abouts in central auckland (like balmorel-ish) could i get a mounting bracket fabricated to mount my sc12 to my car. only trouble is car is immobile if anyone knows any helpful info please let me know as i just a bit stuck. Cheers Tim

yup gna just get it al fitted in there then sell the sc12 and get sc14 and swap them, mounting bracket should be almost identical dunno how im gna mount it tho

UPDATE Removed most parts except long engine whats out of the way for now - radiator -radiator hoses -radiator reserve - coil pack - afm mounting bracket - afm -intake piping -battery -rerouted sparkplug h/t leads out of the way also -cleaned out afm -attached new small pod filter to afm (the more room available the better) -purchased new radiator hoses and coolant this weekends todo list: -Tidy up all wiring (thinking about rerouting wires behind guards rather than going up the sides of the engine bay) -Grab some new colder spark plugs -fit RRFPR (fuel pressure regulator) -grab some silicon joiners and bends -get supercharger mounting bracket fabricated -buy a "double din" alternator pully -Have her running by sunday pics: questions for you guys: should i run a belt off the alternator (could possibly wear alternator bearings out quickly) or run one big belt that goes from crank pully around alternator around sc and then back to crank pully

Yeah nah, took the intercooler into consideration because i want to run a smaller compressor wheel in future (smaller compressor wheel = more boost = more heat) Might not install it at first but it will go on at some stage started taking crap out of engine bay yestaday (afm piping etc) theres a beutiful large spot for the sc to fit in its almost asthough bmer thought ahead and made room for it

Hey all just got a supercharger for the beemer it has 2wires and a plug comming out of it. the guy told me it was "the clutch" its out of an old toyota and apparently toyota wired thm upto a microswitch on the throttle body but all i want to know is the wiring diagram for it do i need to run 12v to the supercharger and then a switch? then the earth?
