Thanks Brent.
Have you got a price for them and mayby a photo of them please.
If they are not too bad I may be able to fix and make a mould of it,
and than make a fibreglass one.
Thanks Olaf.
May paint it red with black trims

Did some more on the car this weekend.
Got the back corner and under the boot lid finally welded up, smoothed out
and undercoated, cleaned the inside of the boot, sanded the surface rust off,
and under coated that too.
Made a fibreglass front because the original was all broken up.
All I need now is a back bumper, if any one has a back e38 one lying around, let me know thanks.

After 3 tries to set the timing right and new spark plugs, i took it for a test drive today,
and no problems.
Troy came down tonight and put it on the computer and cleared most of the codes,
only 2 codes left, passenger airbag and drivers side seatbelt tensioner,
and now the cosmetic outside of the car to do. Should be all done by the time I
get my licence back.
Thanks Troy

24 minutes ago, richard said:if your waiting for a market crash, then your in for a LONG wait.
With high LVR's (30%) over the last 3 years, people are in no hurry to sell, they can afford to sit and wait it out.
There would have to be a world wide depression for housing to drop much further than it has.( My opinion)
I one said to a friend that if you wait any longer you'll end up in HuNtY.. He's in Pokeno.
And if we're paying RATES on these valuations then we are entitled to think that is the price.
Dont worry even Huntly is expesive, next door and two in our neighbourhood over $500k.
build ours 40 years ago for $39k and section $8.5k.
3 more sections left in street over $100k each

5 hours ago, KwS said:I must ask, is it worth the time, effort and money?
It's unlikely to be a "classic" being 99, yet isn't modern enough to even have yearly wofs. There are few cars I would bother doing that process again for, and sometimes it's just better to pay a little more for one that is already on the road.
I can see where Murray is coming from, its a hobby and money is not what it is all about.
Its the achievement and satisfaction of having done it yourself,
I will spend over 8 grand on my project but the car will still be only worth 3+ grand
