And here I am filling up my car to the top every time it needs filling and not worrying about anything.
I always laugh when I c sum one put $20.00 in tank, by the time they get home the tank is empty again.
My motto is keep tank full in case of an emergency.

Have been seeing an hart specialist for the last 12 years,
2and a half year ago one side was only working 56%, and he told me to stop smoking, I did not stop. a 30 packet every 2days.
6 Months ago it was down to 44%, if it go's down to 40% the LTSA will take my commercial licence away.
I went cold turkey, stopped drinking no more sugar drinks no fatty foods, medication for the rest of my live and i lost 15kg.
went back yesterday for check up and I am back up to 50%.
The wife stop smoking today keep fingers cross.

Got told off by the Police this morning for moving road cones at road works.
Two weeks ago they dig up a trench about 50 meters long in one of the main roads leading into Wanganui and finished laying pipe. Then back filled and topped off with that fine shell rock. Since then nothing has been done except the put road cones out to direct traffic flow to drive over their roadworks to compact it. FFS, there are machines for this.
It's been bugging me having to drive over it anyway but after the work I've done grooming the 740i in the last week I get down there this morning and they've put another layer of that fine shellrock down and the soaked it in water so it's a friggin mess. I could see the cars in front spraying it everywhere off its tires.
So off to the left there's a section of road wide enough for a truck to drive on thats clear of their dirty work except they put their road cones on it to force traffic out into the middle.
I get out and move the road markers to clear this bit of road and when I turn around to go back to my car there's the Police waiting for me. They made me put them back.
I elected to turn around and take the motorway bridge and drive down the other side of the river then cross back over the Dublin st bridge to the side I needed to be on.
Why should we be forced to drive our cars over their roadworks to compact the ground cause they're to cheap to use the proper machinery????
Welcome to our world, we have that all the time in summer when they chip seal the roads,
On one stretch of road they do an few places, we have to compact it for the next 3 days
and in 14 days they are back and they do the next places, and we are back to 30 km for the next 3 days.
Bring back the ministry of works,in and out in one day, all compacted, swept and road marking

I am thinking that we are going to need something up front as well, like a splitter, to balance it out, or it's going to have too much rear and not enough front front grip??
If you got something in mind John, make an tim plate and we can work something out.

Oxy acetelene in a rubbish sack.
Make me think back at our technical school days, when we where learning to gas and arc weld.
we use to weld cubes and just left a little hole and filed it up white oxy acetelene and light er up.
If the welds held together we god an A.
Or for science we use to make pipe bombs wit sugar and fertiliser, and let them go off behind school.
The good old day's when we where allowed to smoke at school.

So about $4K in machining and parts to recondition the engine completely?
Yep about that, and than I know I will have a good motor that will go for many km.
Did you have to factor in any correction with a thicker headgasket having the heads skimmed?
From what I know adjusting thickness actually alters the cam chain timing unless its compensated for.
Yep Paul has given a thicker headgasket.
surely it wouldve been cheaper to get a replacement engine? Its not like the rest of the car is worth spending money on...
Way? watt is the fun in that, and if you get a second hand engine, you don't know watt you get,
it can blow after a month to.
And the car is way I bought it for, it is still registered and there will be all fibre glass panels for.

Yep friendly and helpful definitely will go back for my other parts,
$3255.75 inc gst
