  1. a service is about $4XX depending on what needs to be done, brakes are about $1600, coils $800ish but you can always go aftermarket parts now and dont have to take it to a bmw dealer

great car to drive with a very good chassis.....but i have driven the new range of bmw's and man they are even better lol

  2. we have a 05 320i (e90) had it coming up to 5 years now and the first three years when it was under warranty was great with no problems.....after the warranty it was problem after problem from front brakes, rear brakes, coils, oil leak, window washer, door handles, air vent....etc

the car now has only done 37,000km!!

i dont have any real advise, our car was purchased from bmw and has been fully serviced from them, so getting a pre-purchase check would help

  3. All sounding good then. BTW, those old mini's become very addictive.

I've got one side of the garage full with two & half minis from the 1960's. One is still leaking oil dispite having not being moved / started for 6 years !

i hope one mini is enough for us as we are running out of room to park our cars haha

  4. Mine came from a racecar in the UK, then were sent to KW Racing in Germany for a full overhaul. Actually half of the kit is brand new and the other half completely rebuilt back to new. I deal with KW Motorsport directly as a privateer customer. All their race stuff is customised, the CSL cup stuff have their own settings based around the CSL.

cool thanks, i just wondered if you got them from a local trader, as i am looking for a set of v2

good luck with the sale.....back on topic :D

  5. But does Tony's give better service and stand behind their work , give good advice etc.

I would rather pay an extra $20 to $30 a tyre and know that the tyres are being fitted by some one competent and they will put all the wheels back on properly at the correct pressures and with all the nuts tightened correctly.

your tony's sounds good, my local one is very pushy and everything is a add on cost

i purchased a set of re001 about a couple of years ago and were very pushy with the sale trying to add on wheel alignment, tyre disposal cost, new tyre valves. I even had to push them to waive the fitting and balancing cost when all other places were built into the price they quoted

overall i would rate their service as poor

  6. Yes I'm in christchurch, hopefully Tony's will price match. Thanks for the information.

tony's will only price match if you go to them with a printed quote from the cheaper shop....as if the cheaper shop is going to give you a printed quote....save your time and hassle and just buy from the cheaper shop

time and time again i find tony's NOT the cheapest and its best to ring around

  7. Wow, they look great and im sure your car will too with them on. I love the finish on them.

Please post pics of your car once thyre all mount up etc.

will post once i get my coilovers

    thanks

Uufff! Don't put them on a car, they're too good.

i know they are so prettttyyy

    Wow, very nice.

Now lets hope the tyre shop doesn't scuff the lips putting tyres on!

they will be be getting told to be careful but they always been very careful on all my bbs wheels
