Hi, my 540 has a DVD navigation system with a Japan disk. If I switch it on while driving, the screen shows me driving somewhere in Japan, obvioulsy need a NZ disk. The question is, if I put a NZ disk, will the Nav system start working? Anything else needed? From where do I get a disk or anything else required to get this working in NZ? Cheers.

Thanks Guys, I am enjoying the car for sure. The acceleration is fantastic! Anyway, I am also in the process of ascertaining the actual fuel consumption, I want to check this with BP 98 as well as Mobil's Synergy 8000 and see whether it makes any big difference. Don't trust the on board computer to be accurate on fuel consumption, so testing it the old fashioned way! Have filled up on BP 98 this weekend, should be able to get a good estimate by next Sunday. Will post it in here. Probably the wrong section to ask this, but does it make any difference on what brand I put in as Radiator cooland and windshield wiper liquid? Cheers.

Hi, can any of you tell me what is the quickest, cheapest way to gain more power/torque? Does replacing the stock air filter with a K&N really make a difference? How about the Unichip offered by Auckland Performance Tuning? Any one of you have experience with that? Also read about some chips offered by a Christchurch company, apparently it works along with the standard ECU and gives more power, any one know about that? Thanks.

Hi all, just bought a 1998 540i yesterday. What an engine! The irony is that the first news I heard on the Beemer radio was that fuel has gone up by 6c!
