  4. Ok so i was thinking all day what i had changed an done different... Rung BMW here in town an they seamed to think it was in my Hub. Then it came to me, i brought locknut studs the other day an put them in the day i had done the springs... Got home an pulled them out an measured against the standard stud... they where 6mm longer than the standards So took it for a drive an its mint now, no noises or anything. But im just a bit curious to no what it was hitting on an if it caused any damage inside the hub? Random.. leason learnt always check you have the rite part (was sent the wrong part) just assumed the shop new what they was giving me... Lucky it was only that i rekon! coulda been in for BIG $$$$
  5. Ok so i took the compressed springs out in the rear this morning cause of the noise an lock up it caused yestrday when installing them... replaced with my superlow jamex springs an now there is a clunky noise in the rear... a After every rotation the wheels do theres a clunk... thought it mite be the brake disc covers but its not them... COuld it be the diff? broken tooth maybe? anyone else had this problem?
  6. Yeh it was going mint azz, drove it home, jacked it up, swapt the springs an put it back down to drive an then it just made the bang an lockd the wheel... i can go in reverse an drive etc, but only for a short distance say 2-4metres then it locks up again... duno what is up with it... Load on the diff maybe?
  7. Ok so i got my standard springs compressed to a 65mm drop... (think it was toooooo far) Installed them, an went to take for a drive, backed out an went to drive off slowly to hear a bang an the wheel locked up... was going like 1km/hr (watchn the whole time) Reversed it up an tryed again thinkn the spring wasnt in properly... did it again. To scared to try again.. Any theorys to what it could be??? E36 320i sedan
  8. Mines doing it on both sides... umm they where E36 M3 rims i tryed on an they where worse than the 18's ive got on there now. Mite have to take into a shop an suss it out, if that fails ill try borrow a set of standy rims n tyres an roll an get the wof.
  9. Yeah mines exactly the same as that (but not as bad) the tyres im runing are 225/35 18's (real low profile) rims aint wide at all I just tried on a set of M3 rims an they where the same... Any option?
  10. Hey guys just took the Bmw (E36 320i sedan) in for a WOF at ONROAD, an it failed on the front tyres being too low (easy fix) But they also failed it on the front tyres rubbing on the inside of the inner guard on a full lock.... I just went to the tyre shops to see if theres anything i can do, but basicly they said put standy rims on an go back... Its running 18" rims an tyres at the moment on superlow jamex (not low tho) Have any of you guys experenced this??? if so how did u fix it?
  11. They been in the car a week an have not gone low... I may have got the wrong springs sent but yeah i wouldnt no how to tell... Just guna get standy springs compressed 100-120mm in the rear an a good 50-70mm in the front.
  12. Well i must say the superlow jamex i put in my car r really high, i really cant see any difference compared to a standard E36... Mite have too compress them to the height i want...
  13. hey guys, pulled out the cutties an put in some superlow jamex springs (brand new) they seam to be very high.... ive had superlow springs in other cars an it made them fairly low so was going on that idea. Any1 else had this issue with jamex? E36 320i sedan on 18's If i was to compress standard springs to say 100mm in the rear what hight would the rear be?
