What brand are the tyres? Are the wheels curbed / scratched in any way? Cheers
-
My personal experience is the M43 is better than the N42 engine (reliability wise).
-
These look like style 123 wheels from an E60 I think. Would have thought the centre bore would be too small for an E39?
-
Yeah it's been traded at Jerry's a couple of times actually - funny how often a dealer can sell the same car in the early few years of it's life! It's really tidy still.
-
Yeah converting this to manual would completely change it - well worth the effort. If I hadn't just bought a manual E46 I'd consider it!
-
I'm looking at a set of E90 wheels that would look great on the E46 coupe. They've got RFT mounted. Is this a bad idea? Keen to hear opinions. Cheers
-
Oh really? It's an awesome car so if you're interested, give me a text/call so you don't miss out. Won't be around for long at this rate. Picking up a manual E46 coupe - will post photos etc once I get a chance. Looking forward to 3 pedals.

Picking up the new E46 tonight - will sell this for $11k to any interested Bimmersporters? Cheers

*Sold* Hi guys, Just listed my E39 touring on trademe. Yell out if you're interested. Copied from the auction: - 3 litre - 5 speed tiptronic - ABS brakes - 8x airbags - Traction control - Black leather with heated memory seats - Sunroof - Alarm - Cruise control - Towbar - Multi function steering wheel - Parking sensors front and rear - 18" BBS RC wheels - Bridgestone RE002 tyres - 3x keys - Fully stamped service history - ISOFIX mountings - Full size spare wheel Servicing: ------------- This car has been exceptionally well serviced it's entire life. Full history with Jerry Clayton and Team McMillan. Recently had a service, a new crankshaft sensor and auxilliary fan switch. The cooling system was completely overhauled, including a new radiator, 2 years ago. Even the cupholders, windows, and odometer display all work correctly (common E39 problems). Genuine reason for sale, this car is in perfect working condition. Has been put on the scanner and everything is good. Check out the photos and arrange a time to view - don't miss out.

Would these fit the front of my E39 530i touring? Keen to lower it slightly but figure lowering springs with msports shocks would be better than OEM shocks. (That's if they even fit?) Cheers
-
Hi guys, I'm after a pair of front lowering springs for a 6cyl E39 touring if anyone has some lying around? Ideally ~25-30mm. Fronts only as it has SLS in the rear. Thanks

If only the centre bore was E39 sized...
-
These are my favourite rims - if I still had an E39 I'd have already said yes. Good luck with the sale, I think that's a good price.

After help/advice - E46 BMW - What do you guys think this is worth?
Smac01 replied to kratosnz's topic in TradeMe discussions
No I'm actually being completely honest here - hence why I've got the 318i wagon which Kyu mentioned. As I said - it's a very personal choice which noone can answer for you! -
Agree - love the interior. But only on a black car!

After help/advice - E46 BMW - What do you guys think this is worth?
Smac01 replied to kratosnz's topic in TradeMe discussions
For city driving, the extra power doesn't outweight the huge difference in fuel consumption. If it was my weekend car, I'd happily have a 330i again. But when I drive my car every day to work in the city, the 318i handles and looks like a 330i, but without the fuel bill. Whilst it doesn't have the power of a 330i, I don't find it gutless. Perfect combination for me, but it all comes down to personal needs etc. Sorry Mat - back on topic now. One thing everyone will agree on, make sure you get one with service history, and find one that has been well looked after. -

Here's my experience with the 330i vs 318i fuel consumption. Everyone has a different driving style, and it depends heavily on the car too. Town driving 330i ~7km/l 318i ~10km/l Open road 330i ~9km/l 318i ~11km/l -

First time buying a BMW - Any help appreciated
Smac01 replied to kratosnz's topic in New Member Introductions
I've had a 318i, a 325i, and a 330i (all msports). My personal opinion is a well looked after 318i would fit your needs perfectly. But you know I'm biased! In my experience, the difference in fuel consumption is pretty large. -
Hi guys, Just listed some BMW roof racks on trademe if anyone is looking for some? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.as...339&ed=true Reserve is $170

A professional machine cut and polish. That's the only thing that worked for me previously.
