  1. Thats what i heard from a few people that they should be fine, maybe my suspension changed things.

I was running 225/55/16 and the tyre just rubbed the strut.

    Anyway i have 2 sets of the same style now. 16x8 et23 e38 and 16x7 et20 e39

I would like to split them and sell to some one who wants to run them on there car. e34 or something else.

    it would only be the rims 2x 16x7 and 2x 16x8 $350

You can find specs on them at [url="http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/"] interesting website for oem wheels

  2. You havent said what size tyres you have on there, cause you shouldnt really be having rubbing issues with those E38 style 5's. The offset is close enough to stock and you can get some pretty big feet on the rear of an E34. You should honestly be able to have the whole set of 16x8's on there with the correct (or approx) size tyres on there without any hassles. I dont suppose you have kept the original size E38 tyres on those E38 rims by any chance? Cause that would cause you grief up front for sure.

  3. Hey

I had trouble with my 16x8 e38 basket weaves rubbing on the left strut of my e34, so I have now purchased a set of the same style wheel of the e39 16x7. Which fit the front with locator rings and no rubbing at all.

So I was thinking about leaving the e38 16x8 on the rear and using the 16x7s e39 alloys on the front.

Is there any reason not to do this?.

But the only way i could do it would be to sell the other 2 different size alloys.

Anyone keen on a set of style5 v2s for there e34?

  4. Hi

    Im am now selling the bmw style 5 v2. 2x 16x7 et20 2x 16x8 et23

    I have purchased some e39 style 5s 16x7 et20 exactly the same but 16x7 instead of 16x8.

Ive got them on the car now and no rubbing all good

but I want to split them and run 16x7 on the front and 16x8 on the rear. The rear would fit straight on and the front rims would need locator rings which i would have 2 spare if i did this.

If anyone is interested in doing the same on there e34 I could sell you 2x 16x7 and 2x 16x8 with the locator rings for the front. for $350 ono.

  5. Hi all Still for sale

I want to see if anyone would be interested in a set of style 5s Basket weaves 2x 16x7 et20, 2x 16x8 et23 in pretty good condition not perfect but no need to refurb little curbing.

I brought 2 sets in the end so want to split them up and sell 2 different sizes. they will fit striaght on your e34 and no chance of the front left fouling strut.

$300 and will throw in the 2 alloy locator rings for the front e39 wheels. e38 Rears fit straight on.

    located in Wellington

    Pm me

    Cheers

  6. Thanks again for info.

I was planning on just running 215/55/15 but was told they were to narrow for 8inch rim?

    So purchased 225s.

What do think or running 215 on 8inch rim?.

Just tinking of options as i don't really want to run spacers but want to keep the wheels.

Can you i get camber adjustment kit. (not coilovers) so i can create a little space would this work?

  7. The trouble is with the wheels not the tyres. A 225/55/16 is the correct size for an E34. The E38 rims run a higher offset than the E34. This offset combined with the width is what is causing the rubbing. The centrebores on E34 and E38 are the same, so no locating rings are required. It will be the spacers that are causing the vibration as they will not allow the rim to sit on the hub spigot properly.

  8. Hi all

I have 16x8 style5s basketweaves on my e34 with 225/55/16. Ive had to put 5mm spacers on as tyre was fouling strut.

Alignment has been done and wheels are balanced.

But i now have a good shudder at 90- 110km as the rim is sitting further out now do i need really thin hubcentric rings. As i could see the bore is tapered of towards the outside?

As advice would be great. And if i need hubcentric rings any ideas where to get them?

    Cheers

  9. Hi

I have decided to go with the bridgestone re002 for my e34.I wouldlike to run 225/50/16s on it instead of 225/55/16s

I know it will knock speedo out a little but is there any other disadvantages in running 50 profile?.

Or would they look to small on the car? it has been lowered 30mm

    Cheers

  10. Hey all

Thanks again for the info. Will get in for a decent tune and look at replacing the dizzy if worn. Any recomendations on where to buy the dizzy etc from and do i have to get orignal part or is there a better after market one around?.

Are headers worth looking at or removing cat converter?

Thinking about using it on track days so look at what improvements i can make?

Also is anyone running 16 225/55/16 looking for a decent set of feet? And theres not much around in that size?

    Cheers
