It's because no one in NZ seems to have very little idea how to drive in a safe and orderly manner. I asked a cop when I got here to explain the road rules to me and his reply....."no one knows". Seriously I would love to see half this countries "drivers" try and last 1 day in any major city in OZ. No offence guys but a majority of kiwi's are the most rude and arrogent pricks in the world when they get behind the wheel of ....... well anything with wheels.

Three men - a Canadian farmer, Osama bin Laden and a Biker are all walking together one day. They come across a lantern and a Genie pops out of it. 'I will give each of you one wish, which is three wishes in total', says the Genie. The Canadian says, 'I am a farmer and my son will also farm. I want the land to be forever fertile in Canada ' POOF! With the blink of the Genie's eye, the land in Canada was forever fertile for farming. Osama was amazed, so he said, 'I want a wall around Afghanistan , Palestine , Iraq and Iran so that no infidels, Americans or Canadians can come into our precious land.' POOF! Again, with the blink of the Genie's eye, there was a huge wall around those countries. The Biker says, 'I am very curious. Please tell me more about this wall.' The Genie explains, 'Well, it's about 5,000 feet high, 5oo feet thick and completely surrounds the country. Nothing can get in or out; it's virtually impenetrable.' The Biker sits down on his Harley , cracks a beer, lites a cigar, smiles and says, 'Fill it with water.'

A sexually active woman told her plastic surgeon that she wanted her vaginal lips reduced in size because they were too loose and floppy. Out of embarrassment, she insisted that the surgery be kept asecret, and the surgeon agreed. Awakening from the anesthesia after the surgery, she found 3 roses carefully placed beside her on the bed. Outraged, she calls in the doctor. ‘I thought I asked you not to tell anyone about my operation!’ The surgeon told her he had carried out her wish for confidentiality, and that the first rose was from him. ‘I felt sad because you went through this all by yourself. The second rose is from my nurse. She assisted me in the surgery and empathized because she had the same procedure done some time ago.’ ‘And what about the third rose?’ she asked. ‘That’s from a man upstairs in the burn unit. He wanted to thank you for his new ears.’

Hey guys I am selling my 740I. It's got 260klm on the clock and is in very reasonable condition for it's age. It is a 4ltr V8 5 Speed auto. The wheels are only 5 weeks old. Near new tyres. I am lead to believe it was imported into NZ by the American embassy. I have $8,000 ONO on it. Car is in Hawera at present. If you have any question please don't hesitate to ask. Cheers John.

Sweet I can live with that. I hate havin little brakes or cheap tyres...... not a good combo at all. The standard Ford ones were total crap. WAY TO small. What would be the best wheel tyre size for it?? Don't want to sacrifice comfort but. Don't want rattles or rough. I'm a big boy 135kg. So that has to be taken into account for any rough corners. At the end of the day I always own luxury cars for comfort. I have taken the Ford almost beyond that point. Want the 740 for the daily driver but still gotta be fun. I'm sure ya know what I mean.

Don't get me wrong it cost a fortune to get it to handle as well as it does. But money well spent when ya hit the track or even better a mountain range and nothing can touch ya. I will be very interested to see how well the 740i handles. Have wanted 1 for years and to be honest apart from what I have read have no knowledge on these cars so I will be tapping into the experience of you guys on here for advice as I want to know things. The one thing that I am concerned about is from the pics I have seen the 740's appear to have very small looking brakes for the size and weight of the vehicle.

It's an Tickford enhanced AU Fairmont Ghia. It has been lowered around 3" right round, has koni adjust shocks, hgue sway bars a must on such a big car, (the list goes on & on for suspension work) a big brake kit (similar to brembo) but locally made in OZ. Sits on 18's. The only thing I didn't get around to fitting is the blower and 6 speed termec manual and they will be done b4 it comes over in a few months time. The car has been built by myself for track work while still having all the bells and whistles of a luxury car as it is also a daily driver so I have tried to make a happy medium......didn't really work...lol.

Hey guys thanks for the kind hellos. Once we are there I will and some what settled in I will post pics of the Beemer up for ya's to have a looky at. As for your handling comment Cain.... you are only kidding ya self there I'm afraid. Cars that are street legal that can out corner MY Ford are very very few and far between. Many have tried and many have lost. That is the biggest reason I'm spewin it can't come over. It is just built for those roads.

Hey guys how are ya today? I move to NZ in about 3 weeks from across the ditch. Not sure where yet it will depend where I can get work. I have just put a deposit subject to inspection on a 1995 740I that appears to be in excellent condition for it's age. This is an all new experience for me as I have always owned Fords to date. But as I haven't owned my Ghia for 12 months NZ won't let it in the country. * GRUMMBLES & MOANS* Anyways just wanted to find a new forum in NZ and say hi. Cheers John
