I got the timing marks off a BMW forum thru google.

Timing is correct because it wouldnt be turning if it wasn't?

Hi all, i have a 2dr 1989 318i M40 BMW

One day i was driving along traffic at about 40-50 ks and all of a sudden the car lost power, it turned off,

i tried turning it back on and a winding noise started going. sounds like something spinning . i pull over.

get it towed to mechanic. Mechanic says cambelt.

Check Cambelt, Cambelt was torn, New Cambelt has been fitted

Turn key and its still doing the same thing, same noise.

I Can see the new Cambelt is turning everything

Any suggestions on what this problem could be.

I am in need of help for my Mercedes E280 1993.

My car sits pretty low and as you all know if you sit low enough

to the ground without a camber kit it would eat out the tread

on the inside of my tyres?

Which has lead me to my problem. . .

Does anyone know where to purchase

a camber kit and how much would it cost???

I heard you got to get camber bolts or something as well instead of camber kits?

and can you install it yourself or do you gotta

get a mechanic to do it etc.

Im a student and living in Manukau

ive sold my Modifyed 318i E30 coupe to buy a Custom Mercedes Benz E280.

reason i sold the bema for the merc was for a car with more room but still

have the style and etc.

I am not sure yet if it was an upgrade or a down grade

as i just recently got the mercedes.

and the bema was a good reliable car with no problems what so ever!!!

For now i will settle with my Mercedes as it gets the same amount of looks and

turns about the same amount of heads as my BMW.

Will have pix of my new ride asap.
