Hey Phil, long time no see Your E46 is looking better than the last time I saw it

The difference between 14" and 15" tyres dont bother me cause itll get new (read bigger) mags before i need new tyres anyway. Annoying not having the originals sitting in the shed though. I know where theres two sets, but both are $800 without tyres so it dont seem worth it when theyre not that much different looking, can get nicer looking wheels for the same money. To me sports car is a term, Im not denying there are plenty of cars that are better in everyway than a true sports car, but that dont make them sports cars to me. Anyway thats for a different thread. Will get pics on sunday

Yeah they are 14s which seems abit strange but its got the black headlining and I have the owners manual showing it was originally registered in 1986 to a guy in Palmerston North as an M325i so I have no doubt its genuine. I wouldnt call any of the above cars sports cars (including the BMW). the only example of a FWD sports car I can think of is an M100 Lotus Elan. Despite the fact an Integra Type R or many others are faster around corners and eveywhere else than a proper sports car for me one critera of being a sports car is no back seat, if they do theyre just a sports coupe at best

Umm what are they worth. Cant imagine theres a huge amount of demand for them? $50? In Christchurch would be preferable as I cant imagine postage would be cheap

Just a teaser. Took this the first time I saw the car, hardly a great photo but its the best ive got for now As you can see its nothing exciting, but it does what I need it to

Am looking for a Tow bar for my 86 M325i preface lift coupe (not sure how much of that matters). Hopefully someone has one lying in their garage. I already have another project car so this one gets to be the daily, hence the need for a tow bar

Just picked up my new car tonite 1986 M325i Motorsport. Done 240,000ks so its hardly concourse but its got a practially like new interior and motor has reputedly been rebuilt (no receipts but compression check etc was good) so it seems nice and strong. Very different to drive from my preious SiR CRX. Will get some pics up hopefully in the weekend

From talking to people I know who have done it it generally costs about $10,000 to race in your own car and dont bend it but the time you pay for entrance fees, spare parts used, gas, accomodation etc. Thats in an average sorta car like that escort So to my mind hes asking abit much, but I suppose if youve got the money its a really easy way to enter

I only know of two down here. Andrews red one with the pplate. And a blue one that until recently was on a regular plate but now has a pplate too. Back in 1998 when I was 15 I decided I was going to have one by the time I was 25 and its still gonna happen One of my favourite cars ever

If you have to carry something for those reasons Id suggest it was a steering wheel lock. If you do actually club someone with a baseball bat or something and you had no good reason to be carry it you could run into problems. Its pretty easy to explain why you were carrying a 50cm long metal steering wheel lock
