oops! Yea it's auto, I have been led to believe it is the "jayco" Nissan transmission? Also are there any common problems with this transmission?

Hi all, I was hoping you BMW gurus could help me with figuring out which gearbox I have. The car is a 96 E36 323i with the 2.5 litre VANOS engine. cheers for any help! -Andrew

1. Auto, if it were manual I would be cranking the price! 2. The car is located in Masterton but if test drive wanted I could sort something out for Welly or Palmy. 3. Not sure what these are? It has the charcoal cloth seats and charcoal/black interior (no gay fake wood!)

Hey all, I am planning on importing some items from the states for my E36 next month and maybe also bringing in some extra stuff for mates. I was just wondering if any of you guys were interested in anything? Currently on my list to import: -Front tower strut brace -Air intake (probably AEM) -Chrome front grill -Earth/ground wire cheer, Andrew.

Consider selling Remus exhaust seperately? If so what is the exhaust?

my_e36 - Na havent had any problems with scraping my bumper though I did scrape some part of the front half of my underside on an especially high judder bar! isis - The ride quality/handlingis pretty nice - have taken it on some pretty windy roads and it handled very well - a very noticeable difference to standard. The suspension was bought through Team FBI in Auckland and is worth about $1200 - I can't give an exact price because the boys at FBI love me and gave me a discount!

Well I purchased an E36 a few months ago and after owning some fairly modified Hondas I couldn't stand the stock suspension on my new BMW. I did some checking round and decided to put some H&R cup suspension in which would improve handling and drop the ride height a bit. This was the result: (please note car is only on 16's)

Have you got any pics of the front corner lamps? If so could you please send them to [email protected]

How much for just the drivers side mirror? They are electric aye? What colour? They will fit my E36 323i fine aye?

I'm kinda after a 1-2 inch drop, partly for performance and partly for cosmetics. Currently I'm looking at buying some H&R Sport springs for about the $450 mark. Haven't managed to find a decent price on Eiback springs yet!
-
heh i haven't really decided exactly how low I want to go - I just want to go lower! Really wanting to get a grip on what options there were first. Sorry but that is the only photo I have as I've just bought it...
-
RJ - You're from nzhondas rite? Spanky's mate? Yea im just worried mainly about ride quality/handling. I would the car to be slightly lower but not if it means sacrificing ride quality.

Hey gusy, bit of a n00b to beamers - I have just bought a stock standard (part from 17" Viper alloys) 96 323i. Basically I would love to have a bit of a play round with the suspension. -If I were to only change the springs what brand would you guys recommend for best ride quality. I'm not really after el cheapo Jamex/King/Cobra springs etc... -If I were to look at changing the complete suspension package to maybe some height adjustable/damper adjustabe full coilover shocks what would the recommendation be? cheers, Andrew.
