Ok please bear with me here...... I am really a newbie to anything majorly car related they have always been for me just a means of transport until i got my BMW wherein things have begun to change. Now the stupid question.... E S & M modes... I am assuming they are Economy, Sport & Manual? Correct? What major difference does each mode to do to the way the car drives? I normally sit in E mode but i have never tried M mode to know what it does and i dont want to do something thats going to damage it. I tried to search but found nothing to help, can someone please provide what is probably the most simple answer ever.... Thanks

Thanks Guys, that helps heaps. Ahh well, maybe she will just get a nice polish instead. Keep it pretty standard.

Hi guys, I have my wee 316i E36 that i would like to eventually fit some new lights to. When looking on trademe it seems like nothing will fit my car. Exactly what will fit my car? I was looking at these: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=193884943 The Auction states: Will fit 1991-1998 4 DOORS SEDAN ( 316 318 320 323 325 328 ETC ) But i asked if they will fit my 316i Hatchback and was told no. So is there a difference between the 4 door sedan lights and the lights for a hatch back? Im almost stumpted as to what is going to fit, and is this going to be the same for my headlights, will i have trouble finding something to fit. Any help would be appriciated.

What condition are the fog lights in? And how much? The one of the driver side looks alright as its still in place, what about the one on the other side? is it broken or has it just popped out of the bumper?
-
Im going to be a pain and ask one more question Nick.... How can i determine if these headlights are the euro edition? Being an NZ new i really have no idea. Ive done a decent amount of reading on the angel eyes and still havent determined what i need.

By take the rings you mean the homemade ones??? Cause yes it is NZ new. And i would love to paint the bumpers red to match the car. I too think it would look alot nicer. That takes cash tho and beign a student i havnt got alot of spare stuff floating around.

Yes being red is the go fast bit. The term is just me, new car is the new go fast bit. Love the wee thing. The one upgrade im thinking about is some angel eyes. But im not sure if this car will be able to take them. I really hope so as that would really top this car off for me. Had a look at the potential to do the DIY angel eye rings that i found the video link for on here. But im pretty sure that there is nowhere inside the headlight that i could mount them without being in direct light from the lights and thus possibly melting.

Thanks Presso, that thing looks really good for the price. Would be nicer if it took the aux port as i chop and change what im listening to all the time. What are the controls like for playing music off the memory stick? -
Want to know if anyone has any fog lights to sell. Either that or some plastic sheilds to put in their place. At the moment its just holes but the wiring is there to take em. If anyone has any please let me know. Thanks, Joe

Thanks for the quick reply. So its nothing to worry about. Im assuming the adaptors are like pieces of plastic that fill in the extra space and hold the new one in place. The wiring kit: I have read a few threads on them so should be able to sort that out. What are the aerial adapters for? And does anyone have any units that they would stay away from? Im only looking at cheapies, only requirement is an aux in or ipod connectivity.
