Hey, CADMAX this is what you're looking for on the E36. This is one of the products I supply in Japan. It's avalible for all E36 cars (apparently meant to be E39 style, whatever that means??).

If you're ordering something of the NET, which would you choose? 1* Fex ex. Fast and reliable but hellishly expensive. Maybe same as order price. 2* Regular sea mail. Slow as, but cheap. Could get nicked along the way but insured nontheless. Would like some feed back, but anyways. Looking forward to your reply. Cheers.

The lights, I get 'em made for 250 $us in china. I flog 'em off in Japan for 'bout 500 $. And yeah, I'm just doing after-market parts. Also for benz, VW, and Audi too. As for parts from wrecks, I know heaps of Kiwi's come down here to get that sort of stuff. I, myself am not into that part of the business. I've got a few things going so I don't have much time. I know for a fact, that a lot of the cars in NZ/Aus car lots are damaged cars. Whenever there's a flood here in japan, which is very very often (with the summer typhoons, we had like 20 this year). A bunch of kiwi dudes comes and buys flood damaged cars. And flogs them off in NZ.. But if work is done properly no knows !!! If buying a Jap import look at the date it was imported to NZ and if there was a flood in japan anytime 3 months before, don't buy it cause chances are you're buying Junk that the Japs won't drive. Japs are not keepers, somethings broke, they say "don't fix it, buy another". Kiwi car importers say "hey I reckon we all don't watch CNN, so let's do it" So, if you're careful, you're gonna have some trouble with the car in a couple of years..

So in another discussion I was telling you about how many gangsters prefer Mercedes. I got some pics of Jap Mercs and also a 7series on 22inch chromes. Sadly, I don't own any of these. I'm riding a E46, and usually just test parts I sell to see if they fit, so it isn't looking to fly. But I'm looking to buy a facelift version soon, so after that I'll modify what I'm riding now (If the mrs lets me, that is :banghead: )

All and I mean All BMW aftermarket goods (with exception to AC Shnitzer and co.) are all made in China (even some bimmers now). All my stuff, I get made at a plastic moulding factory in China. As for Japan, I'd say it's a top 5 market for BMW AG. Much more in terms of ratio than NZ (maybe economic power). Not many 3 series, mostly 5s and 7s. Older models seem to get shipped quickly to Russia,England or Aus/NZ. But in General Volks Wagen are the clear cut NO.1 for sales of foreign cars in Japan (toyota sells them!! go figure??). Mercedes tend to have a bad rap in Japan, as many Gang members drive them. So us regular folk go for bimmers, much more class!! If you buy a Jap import S-class mercedes, chances are, there was once a dead body in the boot!!

When I bought my car from the BMW $tealers in Japan they made me get the friggin card in exchange for a discount on the car. Also they made me join up their insurance company in exchange for a cd-changer. It's really a ploy for the stealers to make some extra bread. So if I wasn't buying a new car, I would never join up. Amex cards are no good, can't use them half the time anyways. I agree with all those that go for VISA.

I reckon some SingSing imports don't have heaters (though I'm not sure, for later models). Also in Japland (where I'm at). My 320i E46 has a AFK that was buggered after 60,000k. I'd say a Sing import would have that, and judging by driving conditions (stop and go), that should be worth a check along with injectiors, airflow sensor, fuel pump. That's the sort of thing that gets worn down in City only driving.

First of make sure it's a NZ new car. Jap import BMWs are Very Very Bad. Because in Japan they drive stop drive stop etc. My car's average speed is like 20km. Try doing this for 60,000km. Your cars buggered (mine is). As for 4 pot motoring, Performance vs Costs. You choose. The 98 318i runs rough (idle wise). So if you want a smoother ride go for a 320i at least (and you're riding on the motorway in NZ anyway, so you'll get decent milage). Or go for a after facelift version (after 2002). They're valvetronic and run pretty smooth, even a 318i (though the handling is pretty crappy).

Hi, I'm new here. I'm a Kiwi in Japan and sell BMW and Mercedes Parts wholesale to tuning shops in Japan. All my goods are cosmetic goods. No performance (for now). If I were to set up a online shop for international customers, would kiwi BMW owners be interested? With cheaper prices than UK or US of course.
