I've just ordered the Basian systems rattle kit and vanos repair for my S50B30. It looks tricky im a bit nervous ripping all that lot to bits. Any tips or trick guys? Do you need the cam allingnment bridge? Where do you get/beg/borrow/steal one of those? Is it tricky to get it all back on alligned properly with the cams?

I only have one rear side bolster. That's all I got with the car hence not including it on photo on TM. It's only grey velour so easy to match for appulsterer IMHO.

Bump $600 the lot!

I've dynoed a few ideas on my race car and had similar results as other race guys doing the same thing. Result: BMW OEM plastic air intake boxes are extremely well designed. Crafty crouts didn't leave a spare 10hp sitting there waiting for you to bolt something different on a standard engine. If your seriously changing the motor specs then yes maybe you need more flow. The standard setup is hard to get much more power on a stock engine with stock size AFM and TB's.

Yeah impact driver vs wrench. All the grunty ones are 1/2" drive. That bunnings Ryobi $260 will def crack, got 375 ft pds of undoing ness.
-
Great ok thanks guys. John does that 1211 have enough grunt to crack the wheel nuts off when they are torque up?
-
Im looking to buy a cordless impact wrench as im getting lazy with wheel changes these days... Iv'e looked at Ryobi 1/2 inch drive 18v Li on + 1 system, 300NM torque, @ Bunnings - seems best bang for buck with 1 batt and charger $265 (any comments if you own one - good/bad?) or Dewalt DW059 WITH 406NM torque with 1 batt and charger around $400 Mikita BTW450 with 440NM torque with 1 batt and charger around$560 Any one selling a second hand one? or know of a good deal other than bunnings and Trademe?? Cheers Dave

Hi Brent,Not available sorry. I still have them in the car, i cant physically get the rears out they are pinned behind roll cage bars. if i change the front door cards it wont match.... so just the seats. I only have one rear seat side bolster so i didnt picture it in the auction. It would make good spare velour for drivers seat repair

My race car is up for sale. Stop dreaming about racing and get into it!!! I'll negotiate on price this car has to go as ive bought another car, some Bimmersport member would be a good new owner! Plus if some one wants a really sharp deal some of the expensive items could come off her but leaving in good race shape. Things like the new flashed up gearbox I could put the spare in instead, other race seat and harness could come out etc If your keen to go racing click below, My Trade Me ad Here for my web page with full details Plenty of members on here can vouch for this car. Any questions PM me
