  1. Hi Guys, looking at upgrading the lights on my e46, mainly the standard yellow ones. I've had a look on TradeMe but really unsure of the quality of some of them, can anyone suggest a good brand, place to deal with or anything to watch out for? Been looking at these http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=214399262 Also any suggestions on styles front & rear are most welcome, the colour of the car is sapphire black. Thanks.
  2. Seriously interesting, thanks for that!
  3. Just an update on this. This weekend i finally got round to doing a full groom as outlined by Mark... Wash & Dry, Mothers clay bar, ScratchX (amazing stuff, scratches gone), Mothers wax, Armoral window wipes & tires blackened. And i'm blown away with how well it came up - here are some pics to show the results. I would highly recommend this process, and thanks heaps for the input.
  4. Hi, how difficult is it to change my 323i e46 seats from the current cloth ones to good condition leather ones. And any ideas of anyone in Christchurch that could help with this, and a rough idea of costs? Thanks.
  5. Yeah i know what you mean re: standing out on the dash, to be honest i still have concerns about changing it from orginal, will give it some more thought. They do seem to be a very good unit though, and being able to use the ipod would be great. And these are the speakers i'm looking at http://www.paulsaudio.co.nz/products?prodid=37 and my car is a e46 323i
  6. Thanks man, some good info in there. Think i'm going to go for it.
  7. Hi guys, currently running new 215/45/17 Nankang Ultra Sport NS-2's on the 323i (was on it when i brought it) but considering swapping them over with the near new Bridgestone MY-01 225/45/17's on my Galant as they run great on it. Thoughts as to which tyres are better? and anyone know how much it would cost, need to swap both sets of tyres onto the other set of rims. Thanks.
  8. Hi Guys, i'm looking at upgrading the standard stereo in my 323i to one of these - http://www.paulsaudio.co.nz/products?prodid=18 and front & rear speakers to go with it. Anyone got any experience with these, or other recommendations? ipod integration is the main goal. Also does changing the stereo from standard have any impact on the value of the car? i.e the interior not being original. Thanks.
  9. My car is sapphire black, it has a few minor scratches that i'd like to get out if possible and are the main reason for considering professional. $1k is out of the budget at the moment though, looking at a couple of hundred max - but then if i find a way / product to sort the scratches i might do it myself as then have the pleasure of knowing i have done it, if you know what i mean. Not sure, but if anyone is keen on a cash job let me know. Really unsure what to do about the dash etc though, have just used a damp rag thus far and it looks good, just not sure whether to and what product to use on it.
  10. Thanks guys, that is some excellent advice that i'll be sure to try. If anyone knows of a groomer in Chch that is prepared to do the process that gannetboy suggested let me know, i'm prepared to pay well for a top job.
  11. Hi Guys, what products would you recommend for grooming my '99 323i - internal, external & windows? It is in pretty good nick, but does have a couple of surface scratches in the paint i'd like to get out if possible, and i'm keen to hear what you think is best on the dashboard etc. And / or can anyone recommend a quality groomer in the Christchurch area?, as may get it done professionally. Suggestions welcome, thanks.
  12. Hi Guys, i'm David and i live in Chch. I'm a long time BMW fan, and finally just purchased my first beemer. It's a 1999 323i e46, had it a week and can't believe how much i love it!, i've posted some pics, still some work to do yet though. I found this site while doing some research, and gotta say great work guys! and great to see a local BMW site of this quality with members who respect others rides. Look forward to meeting other members at some point soon.
