  1. A few months ago a mate wanted to grab something out of my boot so I gave her my keys, expecting her to use my remote to unlock the car and open the boot by grabbing the lever/sensor above the numberplate, but of course she used my key in the boot lock, couldn't get it open so opened it from the button in the drivers seat area.

Now, I can't open my boot by touching the lever/sensor above my numberplate, I have to open it with the button in the drivers seat area.

I remember someone mentioning a year or so ago about how turning the key in sequence deadlocks the boot?

Any knowledge or links would be greatly appreciated.

  2. I guess it's very typical for anyone to say this about the area they live in but...

Why Tauranga? There are so many more beautiful places to go to avoid the sheer delight of being stuck in traffic jams during the New Year time.

To the Mercs for me, in search of fish, crays and scallops.

  3. Oh my god. You guys! That pos is his pride and joy.

I almost can conclude, if everything else doesn't work to fix something, a rangi mod will just have to do. Or more commonly seen on Bimmersport - if you can't afford it/can't be bothered, rangi mods are the way to go.

Seem a few too many rangi mods gone bad, in the end the car always ends up getting fixed properly.

  4. You still have to weigh up the odds Mike.

Think about how many customers are sweet and are a pleasure to deal with. Every company has to deal with assholes. Your Dad would surely reassure you that.

You can win some fights, I've seen that. I guess some who pick up parts just assume they can treat you like a dumb ass cos' Synthe looks small. That gearbox dude ended up coming back after the fight with an apoligy.

If you don't chuck it in (I really think that'd be a shame if you did) look into ways of avoiding messes. Like having a little agreement which the buyer has to sign. Maybe start getting those guys in Manukau to check out your gearboxes before you sell them, and get them to write out proof that they're fine? So the buyer doesn't have a leg to stand on. They'll stop their bitching and moaning. Most did which I saw when I was working for Synthe.

    Good Luck.
