I've got a '87 318i and I replaced the battery 2 weeks ago. Yesterday while driving the engine just died and refused to start for a few minutes - engine didn't even turn over. Then it started fine and i drove for a few hundred metres, flicked the indicator and engine died again. After few minutes it started again. As soon as I turn on radio or headlights the engine revs drop and it threatens to stall!

Hey guys Looks like the clutch on my 98 e36 M3 has come to the end of its life. Any ideas on where i can get a replacement and how much?
-
If it has compliance certificate there's no problem.
-
I wouldn't mind that; only problem is car's not registered yet so i can't drive it there. I recently imported it and is fixing up the little niggles so i can do rego/wof.

Dunno, how do i check? AA thinks it might be ABS fault.

The oil service light (E36 M3) won't reset after few attempts by the guys at AA workshop. My airbag also light stays lit and there's 2 faults that won't clear; drivers' firing pin and something else on passenger side (can't remember). Car has never been in accident. What do ya think?

Hey Guys I just had my E36 M3 serviced and the brake fluid replaced. Apparently there's no fluid reaching the left front and right rear brakes while it was being bled. Any ideas?
-
Hey guys Is there a seal or gasket between engine and gearbox on e36 M3? My car has a leak in that area (hard to pinpoint) and I was wondering if it will be expensive to repair. Does engine and g/box use same oil?
-
Silly question but have you check your fuses?

I drive a '98 6-sp M3 (4-dr made in S Africa) and the clutch feels very hard and also engages by just wriggling your toes! I don't have a clutch stopper but can the clutch be adjusted to come out a bit further before engage? There is also too much play on the shift when in gear or neutral; Does it mean new clutch/shift or could the links just be worn. Last question: Why does the Vanos system rattle when cars been driven hard? Cheers
