  1. Nice one man!!! Is that the only thing that you got from the whole message I wrote? Read it again maybe it will help your understanding... All I am saying is that this car is a miracle if it is true!!! Because how many times did you hear that front wheel drive handles so good after you put more than 250 hp through those fronties? I know only new Fiats and Ford RS that might be close to what this car is. So anyway hope you will get my point.

f2000 cars ran 300hp and seemed to handle ok... btcc cars 270+hp... jwrc ran 230hp

I know what you getting at, i was being cheeky. Renault also did a stellar job with the whole suspension/steering geometry in both the old menage and the new one. the old one wasn't slow either (apex's one), which had a time of 8 minutes 16.9 seconds

when you think the mk1 exige (8:42), Chevrolet Corvette C5 (8:40) is slower than the following fwd cars:

    8:22.85 Chevrolet Cobalt SS/TC

8:26 Ford Focus RS Horst von Saurma Ford conducted test (08/2009)

8:35.00 Ford Focus ST Patrick Bernhard 2005

8:35 Opel Astra OPC 2.0T (240PS) Manuel Reuter Opel, 05

and that the meganes still 30 seconds slower than the modern supercars and hypercars it just goes to prove how good modern realistic everydays cars are getting.

  2. Left field comment, but have you held the two camera's?

I find they feel very very different and the older Nikon's i played with felt awkward in my hand and the buttons where a pain to get to vs the Cannon's.

It would be a big influence in my purchase of a camera at that price range, give that it's a much of a muchness to which is the better one.

  3. Just confirming:

    1) No helmet or Overalls are required for the motorkhana

    2) No motorsport licence is required for motorkhana or autocross

    3) Entries for Motorkhana can be done one Sunday until 9am - for all you last minute people.

This is the ultimate event for beginners to motorsport.

  4. Just now I had some thugs at my house, one was knocking at the door at 11.50pm and the other 3 were on the road where my e30 was parked. Took me awhile to get to the door (half asleep) and didn't turn any lights on, open the door he gets a big surprise and they all ran off into their car.

Sad news mate, will keep an eye out here in karaka and papakura.

Hope you reported it to the police

  5. Hi Guys,

Got this email today and figured you guys might be interested in making up some numbers:

    Hi everyone,

A reminder that we have the first round of the Tarmac Series this weekend at Hampton Downs. So far entry numbers are low so there are plenty of places available. We have moved to Hampton Downs skid pan for a couple of reasons, one is that the surface is superb for motorkhanas, the other is that it is central for both Hamilton/Waikato competitors and Auckland competitors. So far we are light on Waikato non Fiat Club competitors entering. Go to the website, www.fiatcarclub.co.nz and download the entry forms and send them back to me so I know how many to expect.

    Ciao,

    Campbell

    Series Coordinator,

    FIAT CLUB WAIKATO TARMAC SERIES

  6. We each have a book of 100 tickets, but we each have to sell a min. of 20 tickets to cover costs. So if we only sell 10 tickets, we have to pay for the other 10 tickets ourselves.

It was easier to hit the $2 store and buy the packs of raffle books and give each team member a book vs save a few bucks and split books up into 20 ticket lots for each team member.

If someone sells 100 then way to go them!

I could have said choose between 1 - 20 but i had a full book so i expanded it it... Could also just have issued it in running order, but people like the choice...

  7. Hahaha more than just me selling the tickets... Everyone trialling for the squad needs to sell the tickets.

We where each given a ticket book and told to sell a min of 20, so we have to make up the shortfall if we sell less than 20.

Names and Phone Numbers go on the tickets, so it's not just yellow number XX or red xx...

But if you want to buy all 100 tickets (well less than that now i've sold a couple) your more than welcome!

  8. I'm going to let you in on the chance to win MONEY!!! Now who doesn't want to win money!

But the catch is that it's $10 per entry which isn't much really...

There are 2 cash prizes of $500 and a Villager bar tab on offer... 2 entries means you could be cruising in the high life rockin around $1000 richer...

Raffle is to support the New Zealand Men's Lacrosse Team to buy uniforms, gear, and a few other things for a tournament in July - So cough up - I'll even let you choose your own number between 1 - 100

Short notice i know, the draw is on the 29th.
