  1. Hi people,

Went to install my oil pump back on to the block last night and stopped because I thought I was missing a gasket.

(Not my oil pump but doesn't matter)

On the face where the oil channel is that meets the block. Is this supposed to have a gasket?

I can't see any bottom end gasket set with one that will work. I can just make one but could someone please clear this up for me.

  2. Androids will dominate the world.

The nature of Android (OSS) allows manufactures to compete at every market price point. Microsoft and Apple cannot stop it they can only hope to prize out niche customers. Iphone will always be a strong player at the top end of the market. I cannot see the win7 phone ever being a real contender in the cell market. Only douchebag MS fanboys will even bother imo.

OS4 is a better operating system currently (more responsive, better battery life). Give it to Android 3.0 and there will be virtually no difference.

If I was going to buy an expensive phone i would get a iphone4 currently but since Im a cheap barstard (and spend all my money on cars) Android is the only way to go.

  3. I looked at ITB's when doing my M50 build. Basicly I figured the pain wasn't worth the gain.

The only real benefit is better throttle response and to get that as barf said you need to change to a MAP sensor. Which requires changing the ECU.

In otherwords its freakn expensive!! Does look cool as hell thou

  4. het i jst converted my 320i e30 to manual 2months ago when doing it i put in a lightened flywheel and sent my clutch away to get relined double riveted and bonded how ever, yes if already blown it it slips so much it wont get out of my 15* drive way, its a road car but is used harshly with drifting and the od burn out, as the clutch is gone am going take the engine out and replace with a 2.5 and maybe chuck in a lock diff , just woundering which clutch will siut me be best as dont want to replace again any time soon

It kinda depends what you want out of your clutch. The heavy duty clutch will easily stand upto the M20B25 engine but won't take the same amount of beating (drifting, burnouts etc) as the the stage 2 (6 puck ceramic) but the increased clamp is going to transfer the strain down your drive train if your rough with it to the gearbox, diff and rear axles.

Heavy duty is going to be the best around town clutch and nicest on your drive train.

Stage 2 is going to be the best clutch if you don't want to revisit the clutch again. It will also future proof against power upgrades.
