Im after 1x centrecap for e39 2001 540i, the other centrecaps are marked 1 093 908 on the inside. also after passenger side kidney grille for same car. hit me up in here or 021 268 4696 if anyone has these. cheers

My old mans 2001 540i has been having problems lately. Had a "cam sensor" replaced, waterpump replaced recently. Engine light is ocassionally on now, or flashing, and sometimes when touching the throttle (motorway onramps i notice it hardout) it is like spluttering before taking off, like a knocking feeling. Rather than try diagnose it myself, can someone recommend a mechanic in Auckland I can take it to that is not outrageously expensive? my usual mechanic is a ripoff artist when it comes to diagnosing this type of thing. cheers 021 268 4696

My old mans 540i, 2001. Was randomly running really rough a couple of days ago, mechanic did compression test said cylinders 3 and 4 have around 115 compression, the rest are 160. car has done 107kms. Guessing its going to be expensive, but what is it likely to be ? is this common for these engines?

Hey all, have a car with some minor crash damage that is deregistered, has been repaired and engineer has checked it is okay. can anyone recommend a place in auckland (preferably west) to get it revinned?

I have been looking at e30s to buy and a couple of e34s have caught my eye on trademe, mainly 535i. I would be keen on a 535is but if a mint low mile auto one comes up, am i looking at a huge bill to convert to manual? Anyone done this? How do they drive power wise, in the heavy e34 body?

Hey guys, been a while since I posted on here. On the past have had an e36 320i and e46 320i. After looking in showroom at a few e30s on here I have decided to get another in the next few weeks. Am looking for either coupe or sedan (pref coupe) manual 320i or 325i. Rather buy one for less that needs a bit of work to make my own, rather than spend bigger money on one that has had work done. Would consider an Auto, depending on how much a manual conversion is likely to set me back (if anyone can give me a rough estimate, or point me in the right direction to someone who offers this as a service I would be keen, have limited tools and space to do myself), but hopefully a manual will come up for the right price. Plans are some sort of deep dish wheels, possibly bbs rs?. bodykit (mtech 2 maybe?) paint, leather interior swap (if I get a cloth one) and lowering springs to start with. then will look towards engine mods and coilovers. If anyone has a standard or standardish e30 320i or 325i, pref manual coupe but will consider manual sedan and poss autos for sale, feel free to pm me, am checking the for sales and trademe daily in the meantime, will have my car sold in next few weeks so will be a cash buyer.

Hey guys, havent been on in a while but just asking for some advice for my old mans e39 540i. When just driving normally it is fine, no problems at all, around 78,000kms always serviced etc. ocassionally when giving it a bit of a boot (often mtrway onramps and stuff) the revs limit to around 2k and error comes up "engine failsafe..." turned it off and on again and it once again drives fine, no problems at all. took it to local euro mechanic, who said it had an "unknown error" and that he had cleared the error, however this is still happening. Have read on other forums what it could be and checked all fluids etc, and the strange thing is sometimes I cant replicate the problem, ie foot down red line, and it doesnt happen, it is completely random however it only happens when there is a lot of throttle. any advice guys? or can you recommend someone in Auckland that can at least find out whats going wrong, it drives completely fine otherwise.

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone can give me a rough indication for what I should be asking for this: Basically, I imported a 2001 e46 320i from japan, white leather interior, 110kms, very tidy. Unfortunately I parked it in riverhead and shortly later every panel had been kicked in, and the roof jumped on (jealous *****S) Insurance covered it, and I managed to keep the wreck, just wondering how much I should be asking for, it is de-regd (insurance company did this grr), mint interior, good engine, transmission. Only damage is panel damage however i was quoted around 13k for the panel damage. I have spoken to one wrecker and they agreed to the 3k mark, should I do this? If anyone is interested in this also, give me a text 021 268 4696

Hey guys, just got my 2001 320i arrived from Japan, sooo stoked with how tidy it is. Only thing wrong with it is a tiny oil leak from the rocker cover gasket, only annoying cos the odd drip hits the exhaust and doesnt smell too great anyone on here done it themselves before? Would anyone be keen for a cash job to do this? Thanks Chris
