  1. after a m20 running motor no issues. jst wanting to replace my one to get it back on the road.

I have one on a stand in Silverdale. 2.5 with 2.0 head. Was in my open class car for a few years. Runs well, no problems, & comes with a remaped chip.

    PM me if interested.

  2. I have had many different oils in my 330 over the years and it has always used oil, not a huge amount but more than i would like, but it had allways been that way no matter what oil I used (even the expensive stuf).

Last oil change I had Fucsh Super Super GTO 10W-30 put in. Just a average, middle of the road oil.

I have just come back from a return trip to Palmeston North, and it has used virtually no oil, and done the best economy on that trip yet.

  3. I think the lap looks quite good. I cut that first left hand corner across the concrete too and find it works well, but I like to approach it from the middle of the track, giving a bit more time for the weight to transfer to the right making it a bit smoother.

Your foot work sounds good as well.

This is the exact wording I got, and I was only selling a ute!! He made it sound like a super car!

  5. I have put the Altenzo on my 330 motor sport that has a lot of suspension mods, and the only problem with them is a small vibration at speed when they are cold. Grip wise they are fine for a road car, even in the slush and snow, and as we are only supposed to be diong 100km/h I would have to put it on the track to compare them with what I had before & I have a race car for that, hence why I gave the Altenzo a go.

Previous Tyers were : Eagle F1, excelent but lasted 5 minutes and got very loud as the tread got down, and when I got the car it had Michelin Pilot Proceda, useliss in the wet and cost more than the car was worth.

  6. Gents (and ladies if any),

    The message is 'speed kills'.

It's very politically incorrect to drive above the speed limit and it's not good for the environment. Think about the forest and the birds and the dolphins and whatever else needs saving.

BTW, I'm being sarcastic - if you're going to drive above the limit, do it safely, know your own ability, drive to the condition and lastly, get some protection!

Agreed, and also never, never admit anything. I presume that he got you with the Hawke rader as he came the other way, so no way of knowing which one of you was doing the the speed. Exploit any doubt.

  7. I quite often see people with threads on "I am building this or buying that" , a lot of this stuff does not always come cheap so i was just wondering what everybody does for a crust.

Me i am a Nightshift manger in the manufacturing of the plastic's industry with about 65 staff on my shift.

    What do you do ???

I am also in the Plastics Industry, have been all my working life. In my previous job I installed some machinery into a few places in Christchurch. Who do you work for?

I am now a project Engineer for Amcor Flexibles.

  8. Waht tyre sizes are your running - when you say big sway bars what have you done here - how is the ride/handling?

I didn't have any of this work done as it came from Japan as it is, so I also dont know what it cost, but it would not have been cheap.

The wheels are 18 x 8.5 with a off set of 35, and 225/40/18 tyres

Adjustible platforms front and rear so the ride hight can be adjusted to suit, but it does need a low volume cirt. 30mm front bar and 24mm on the rear and all bushes and linkages have been replaced.

The ride is firm, even very firm, but it is not hard or harsh, and it doesn't bounce and there is no body roll. It doesn't bottom out and nothing rubs, even with five people in.

The handling is superb, particularly on the open road. I have never found myself going to fast for a corner, the more you turn the wheel the more it turns. On the track it is only let down by the road tyres and it doesn't have adjustible camber plates, but I have still out run a e46 m3 out of the hair pin and up over the hill at Puke.

Feal free to pm me if you want to come and have a look befor you decide what to do. (if you are in Auckland that is)
