BMtouring

As an active member of the German E39 forum I got more and more interested (obsessed wink.gif ) in my 2002 E39 530iAT. So I started to get knowledgeable in the coding and such.

Apart from the many tips and tricks for the mechanical side of the car, I'm very interested in the software. I'm happy to share information and this is how I got to find this forum. Apart of course from our ever looming desire to emigrate as far away as we can. Which pretty much is where you all are. That too triggered me: what if there are no E39's there!?!

In the German forum someone once asked for beta testers for an mp3 replacement for the cd changer. As mine just gave up, I applied and to my surprise, I actually got one to test. After a year of no music (other than radio) and not really missing it, now I find myself ripping my old CD's and enjoying the re-acquintance.

The car is a Touring, as mentioned, with Sandbeige leather inside and Oxford Green II outside. It is a special edition at that time in The Netherlands (yes, it's originally a Dutch one even though I searched all over Germany for four months to find one like this) which means it's got pretty much everything we know over here except the memory seats and glass roof. (ok, and no double glazing, buttock massage or sliding loading floor but that's exotic even in Switserland)
