  1. I used the black on the wheels on my old car. Lasted pretty well on a daily driver.

Would not recommend if you ever go on gravel and you have to be really carefull with cleaning.

Takes a bit of effort to clear brake dust as you cant scrub with a brush.

Also, not sure if its still the same but Griffin were the only importers/distributors in the country and they only ever wanted to bring in the basic colours.

Was never able to get any of the clear coats or special colours. Just black, blue, yellow and red.

    It's also $40+ per can.

  2. Due to a change in circumstances, I will be selling my car in the near future.

As I don't believe they add any value to the car itself I am keen for EOI on the plates.

They are manufactured and on the car at the moment but are in good condition.

I have a figure in mind but unsure how reaslistic it is so throw me some offers to consider.

  3. I've got a mate that worked for a wreckers and they always used the cheese wire method.

Something you should keep in mind is that you dont want to damage the roof line where the window mates to it.

I had a LS400 that had had a new window put in and they had damaged the paint when they removed the original window.

Subsequently the roof started to rust.

  5. So other than other than the bolt covers on the engine cover and the lid for the jump start terminal, she's back together.

Still in need of a good detailing, but she looks alot cleaner.

Also attacked the interior with some leather cleaner and then use some moisturizing protector spray.

Came up pretty mint. Especially in the rear. The leather has been well looked after for most part of its life.

The photo's don't really show the colour but it has a purple tint to it. Kind of an interesting colour which I wasn't overly thrilled with at the start but its grown on me and I feel it goes really well with the other colours around the car.

BTW, please excuse the random black dots in all the photo's. I'm using my Experia Z and apparently its a common fault. Will be sending it back at some stage.

  6. Thanks for that. :D

She's back together and running now after a fair few drama's.

After getting a new bung, the overflow nipple snapped off.

Replaced that with a new one and filled her up to find a leak in the radiator

Replaced that and found that the overflow also had a leak.

Sorted that and detected a hiss from the radiator cap. Let it sit over night so I could top up the coolant in case there was an air pocket.

Topped her off and drove to work and found that it had leaked out the cap.

Replaced the cap today and finally its all sweet.

Will give the bay a bit more of a tidy up and take some photos over the next day or two.
