  1. hi there, im looking for a getrag 245/10 or 11 5 speed in good working condition(will consider any cond.) to replace my current gear box as thats getting too expensive to fix, if you have one or know where i can find one im all ears, cheers julian
  2. yea i agree with the others, get it replaced, my 2002 shifter was tighter than that at 40 yrs old lol good luck!
  3. yea its been along time coming but wanted to see whats availible here before i buy from overseas, thanks i'll be ringing him 2moro.
  4. i couldn't find a lot of info on here that could give me clear direction,im restoring a 73 2002tii but some e21 parts fit also so im in need of full gasket sets for motor(m10) ,gbox, diff brake work( new lines, master cyl, boosters rebuilt, discs, drums, pads) full pipe set for cooling sys,oil lines and fuel/injector sys steering parts, new alternator/starter,clutch disc/master cyl. potentially a new radiator....... i could go on for hours..... any info or direction would be greatly appreciated! oh and i would like to avoid the dealers as im not a millionare! ive been a muppet and just found a page called bmw parts and service on here, so if theres anything else you can add i'll still take it!
  5. im in chch but im not against sending it away to get work done, just would like to avoid it if possible.
  6. thanks guys, dont worry the garage is getting pretty messy now that ive started pulling the 02 apart, if you haven't seen the adrenalin movie id put it at the top of the list! awesome movie. will be posting up plenty of questions soon.....
  7. all parts i have purchased off them where great apart from a short shift kit that broke but that was a minor production issue, so had it fixed locally. emails are a bit hit and miss but phone calls work, i would pay attention to the RHD vs LHD part difference ie. manifold, exaust or anything close to exaust like my steering, i forgot about this when ordering a urethane steering coupler..... it turned to jelly when i was stuck in traffic and i lost almost all steering!
  8. hi guys/gals my names julian, just doing the intro thing, im not that new to bmw's but want to get to know /meet more bmw fanatics and try and find the right places to get parts/work done locally etc, the people you recommend and trust! and at a fair price(probably asking to much lol) i have a early 1973 2002 tii that is in need of a bit of tidying up, i could give you a list longer than my hallway as im sure most fanatics would but simply i want this car on the road for next summer........because it needs to be driven! so new clutch, a bunch of gaskets and rubber mounts, some minor rust and paint , potential engine-gear box strip down/check because they are out of the car and that should do for a while...... not! give us a yell if you can point me in the right direction or have any info etc, cheers
