I was thinking if you overfilled your differential, it will just overflow there?

Hello, I bought the second hand differential.  When I open the box, see lots of oil. I tried to investigate where the oil leak comes from. It is from here. Is this normal?

Ok, I tried to change oil my differential but the whistling gotten worst. So i decide to buy a second hand differential. What should I look for if it fits? My vin is nk69753. There are 2 differential in realoem.com.

And as discussed, I should replace the oil to a heavy 80w 140 instead of 75w90.

What car year of the differential is now durable. My car is 320i 2006. Thank you.

Thank you. Is their a way to know if my differential is under filled it over filled? I measured the oil that I removed and it was 850. So I put 850 but it over flows. I waited till little fluid is going out.  Then, I plugged it with 60nm torque.  I really don,t know if that is correct or not?

I did not jack my car, I just crawled under.

So 80w140 instead? I'm planning to add xado for maintenance. Can you overfill it? Penrite says only .8 liter is needed. But forum says 1 liter.

I want to change my differential oil. How to know what type of differential is my car? So that I can use 75w90 or the  80w140?

How will i know if it is sa limited slip or not? Thanks.

Just update on this. I bought the Top Ran Hans Pries air filter and guess what , my previous air filter is a repco one. Top Ran Air filter is like 30% bigger.

Having hard time to insert the filter to the air flow sensor though. But it really helps fixing jerking during acceleration and releasing the pedal fast.

yeah. so i think it will do just fine? is this a ryco rebrand or sakura?

I am deciding if I gonna change my thermostat as well because my radiator is leaking on the metal clip and plastic side dripping. Thermostat still function though.
