So Im not to up to it yet with using this site and tried a search but didn come up with too much. I guess the general add more air flow more air rules apply but just looking at what others have done and where to get bits for my 06 630i. Is it worth doing a whole cold air intake or just going with a K&N? is there a supplier in nz who wuold do a set of headers? again struggling to find something. any other exhaust mods should I look at doing like hi flow cat, hi flow rear mufflers? what model coilovers have people got and like the feel of? and lastly who would you reccommend for a tune? I dont have endless pockets of cash but in not on a hard budget either so looking for best bang for bu k but wont skimp on the important bits.

So I have a 630i which was from Singapore couple of years ago and well my headlight stopped working the other day. So I investigated and had a nosey inside and the 3 wires that plug into the power pack have corroded and all the plastic has dried up and fallen off and they were taped in masking tape..yay So pulled all that off and looked into it and there's no way my hands can get in to cut out the old stuff and replace and I can't tape it up. The bulbs are fine so thinking what do do now? Take the lense off and try pull the guts out? Or just give it to an auto sparky? Or replace? Many thanks

Cheers for the welcome. Compared to others.. found the rovers comfy and plush for the price aka poor man's jag. Gutless though and like a tank. The merc possibly takes my favourite spot cls350 interior softer more comfy and welcoming the 630 minimal and a bit more harsh on the seats etc merc drives smooth as smooth bmw little more harsh but feels more like it wants to be driven and likes to take off a bit better when the foot goes down. Still just sorting tyres for the wheels I bought at the moment and thenot need to sort some spacers for it and then it'll start looking the business.

So ive played around in the car scene for a while and mainly had old jap cars ive worked on as projects as such but my daily has usually been a euro. been through a couple of alfas a vw couple of rovers and more recently a merc which I need to sell as Ive just picked up a 630i. First time owning a BM and im rather enjoying it. I pickled it up from Chch on tuesday and drive it to auckland, would have been more fun if I wasn't horribly hungover from the long weekend and in full on zombie mode by the time I got home. So Im looking at adding some wheels and coilovers then maybe something like like a remap and tinker with the engine just a little. then the audio as I like my sound. Looks like a good bunch of guys here and a vast array of info too so look forward to getting into it.
