Happy Birthday mate

Literally drove it 70kms on the highway and found that when I got home
Was smooth as ever prior to the break

To be honest I think I have cracked it from the H&R springs. They are quite stiff.
Thanks for the knowledge guys, I appreciate it.
It will be in the shop next week to have the subframe replaced. Now I need to source one in Australia

Hey guys,
Have a lovely noise coming from the rear/driveshaft area. Sounds like the driveshaft isnt "mating" properly. Upon inspection I found this crack which I cannot explain what it is for. It connects via the diff by one bolt and onto (what looks like) the rear bracket cover on the axle or diff. It has a bush between the two mounting points so one could say it absorbs the torque from the driveshaft via the diff?
Anyone tell me exactly what it is?
Here are some pictures

Cool.

Not much in it with the Mercedes

You need the locking key. Unless you have something that would fit an replicate one..
-
Epic mate, love it
-
Best way to straighten chassis too. Bawse

Ahhh so you scored them Sam. Going on the 325is or is that still hiding? Maybe you should have politely said that you didnt pay 1200 for them Tristan. Why so mad?

Forgot to mention a prompt is displayed when I open Carsoft. "IKE no connection" IIRC, the ouput from the log only shows EWS info not IKE
-
Thanks for more info Josh, wondered when you would chime in also
Cleared and rescanned again this afternoon. 5 errors on the DME. Once reset and not driven I only receive 1 error and 1 shadow - 2C/64
Taking it for a scan this week at BMW. I now have a climing idle and it likes to stall in gear with the clutch in
-
$1200. What you paid for them

So cleared the error codes and took it for a drive. So smooth now.. jesus.
Only 1 error after the rescan and that is 2C[44] - Oil Level Sensor
-
Thanks for the info Glenn, ill take it for a drive and rescan

Hey guys,
Finally received my BMW scanner 1.4 in the mail. Ran a scan this moring and came back with these errors. yay..
DME: 9B/68 , 2C/64
Shadow: 24/00, 9B/68 , 2C/64
EWS: FF/3F, 0F/3F, 03/01
ABS: 14/00
SRS: 03/20
This is what I have derived from the codes
9B/68 - Control Module Fault - Fault Memory Master
2C/64 - Oil Level sensor
24/00 - Tank vent Valve
FF/3F - Cant find this one? on other DME versions fault 255 is Tank Ventilation System - Valve stuck open
0F/3F - Ignition Current - Bank 1
03/01 - Fuel Injector Cyl 1
14/00 - ABS Valve Intake Front Right
03/20 - Supply Voltage?
Any advice would be great
